Izanami hadn't been able to take her eyes off of K'ael ever since she'd had him handed to her.
She couldn't tear her gaze from his twinkling twin-colored irises or soft mochi-like cheeks.
He was a perfect child.
As a newborn, K'ael was genuinely unable to stay awake for lengthy periods without crashing almost immediately.
This night wasn't any different, as the child was already sleeping without the use of a lullaby or sleeping aid.
Abaddon gently knocked on the door to one of the bedrooms so as not to wake his son.
A couple of short moments later, the door slowly opened and the ever-graceful Hera stepped outside.
"Oh. What a surprise to see you two together..."
Hera looked down at Abaddon and Izanami's fingers that were interlocked.
Her eyes widened slightly. "Though perhaps I should expect to see you two together more often from now on…"
Abaddon coughed discreetly to the side. Similarly, Izanami's face reddened as she looked away.
