Even though the banquet was for Henry, he and the princess weren't the first to dance.
Most of the knights had dispersed from the table to visit one another in the hallway or find their own dance partners but Henry sat there until he and the princess had at least a little bit more privacy.
He had noticed that she was being quiet towards him and it was making him feel unsettled. Seeing that there was nothing else he could do but talk and see if she would reveal anything, he turned to her.
Her blue eyes went to him and she looked at him with love so he didn't understand why she continued to punish him and make him question everything.
"Whenever I see you wear that necklace, it makes me happy," Henry said, breaking the silence. "You look absolutely breathtaking."
Despite her guilt, her heart shamelessly fluttered in her chest and she shyly smiled at the knight. It felt like such a shame to have to part with someone who made her feel like that.
