Clyde pulled out the obsidian disc again, keeping low beneath the ridge of broken stone.
He channeled his magic into it once more and the runes flared then lines of violet and red. The translucent map hovered above it, but this time, the focus shifted.
The display zoomed into the center of the crater basin.
A new image appeared. Now it showing the Myrraline Shards.
They looked like a cluster of jagged crystals, fused together into a flower-like structure. Each of thr shard was long and narrow, colored in deep red with streaks of glowing yellow and faint pulses of black flickering inside like veins.
The formation floated just above the violet core of the basin, suspended mid-air in a web of thin magical filaments. It turned around slowly, almost imperceptibly.
Clyde's eyes narrowed as he studied its shape and glow. "I think that's it."
He nodded to himself, then dismissed the map and slipped the disc back into his Inventory.
