Inside the Governor's Mansion on Hope Island, Elizabeth lay in Charles's arms, curiously flipping through photos on her cellphone.
"Land of Light is truly magical. No wonder you thought of returning."
Charles gently rested his chin on the top of her head, inhaling the faint scent of her hair.
When he had first arrived, there had been a time when he thought this cellphone might be his golden tool.
One day, it would come in handy, but for now, its primary function seemed to be just for playing around.
After watching silently for a while, Elizabeth looked up and asked, puzzled, "Dear, why haven't you rushed out to sea lately? This is unlike the old you."
Charles shook his head, "It's not time yet. I am waiting for someone."
He was waiting for Anna to mention a solution to God's curse. The abnormal behavior of his brain made Charles realize that if he continued with his scarred spirit, he would eventually break down.
