Chapter 90 - Chapter 89

It was half past eleven in the morning when Xiao Yi shuffled underneath the warm blankets. The window was open slightly, letting the fresh morning breeze into the room and Xiao Yi couldn't remember the first time he'd woken up feeling so refreshed after getting black-out drunk.

He was a good drinker, that's why he listened to Yang Yutao's arrogant taunts about him being a better drinker and decided to accept the challenge. However, who knew that Yang Yutao could drink so much?

He admittedly couldn't remember much as he curled further into the blankets and fell into deep thought.

Yang Yutao was nothing like he'd expected. He wasn't the arrogant CEO of a business, the know-it-all vet of the game, no, Yang Yutao was like a blazing flame that captured everything in its path. He was snarky, reckless, and sassy, but knew when to get fizzle out.

Xiao Yi didn't know when the last time he talked that much was, nor could he state the last time he laughed so hard with someone. Somehow, Yang Yutao knew exactly what buttons to push to get him talking.

His thoughts were rudely interrupted when he felt something scratch against his back. Then, the scratch evened into a warm, flattened… Hand? Xiao Yi stiffened. Didn't he go home last night? Did he get lost and wander into the wrong apartment?

Ah… The sheets smelled different.

He peeled open his eyes and flipped the blanket down so that it only covered up to his nose and found himself face to face with an unfamiliar night light which stood proudly on a wood stand carved out of wood.

Since he had access to the side of the bed, he decided to begin to make his escape. He slowly moved his right foot until it hung off the bed, carefully maneuvered his upper body to shimmy down, and placed it on the ground. It was in this awkward position that he heard Yang Yutao's amused voice from behind him. "You used me, now you're trying to run away? How rude."

"…"

Well, he'd already been caught…

Xiao Yi shamelessly tossed the blankets onto the other person and walked toward the door of the room without saying anything. But if someone could see him, they'd notice his entire face was as red as a ripe strawberry.

Yang Yutao covered his mouth to prevent himself from laughing and watched as Xiao Yi rushed out of the door, stepped back a few steps into the hotel room, slipped on his shoes, and rushed out again.

He yelled out. "Don't forget to text me when you're home, you need to buy me dinner next time!"
