"Merry Christmas!" Parker and Rin say simultaneously.
"Hey! Merry Christmas," I say as he hugs Rin.
Josie glares at me briefly, but I ignore him.
"Thanks for inviting us. I thought a Christmas party at the palace would be too much, but it's really low-key," Parker says as he places a bottle of wine on the nearby table.
"Holidays are for family. We don't do anything spectacular. Though I did give a public address this morning to wish the country a merry Christmas." Kista says as he sneaks up behind everyone.
"Your majesty, Merry Christmas," Rin says awkwardly.
"Rin, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that? Just call me Kista. We are friends. I don't like it. It's too formal." Kista says sternly as he grips Rin's shoulder.
"I'm sorry. I promise I'll get used to it soon. Where's Noelle?" Rin glances around the room.
"In the dining hall. Come on, you are the last to arrive." Kista pulls Rin into the dining hall, leaving Josie, Parker, and me behind.
