Xiotan was halfway through making her breakfast when one of the guards informed her that the fourth prince, Mo Yu Hao, was here to see her.
"What? Why would he want to see me? I have no business with him. Cheng'er isn't even here, so what does he want?" Xiotan thought, frustrated.
"Okay, tell him to come in. Wait, but why would he want to see me? Your boss isn't around," she asked, giving the guard a confused look.
"I told him, but he said he wanted to greet the new bride since he was unable to attend the wedding," the guard replied respectfully.
Xiotan rolled her eyes inwardly, thinking, *'So, what's my problem with that? It's none of my business if he missed the wedding.'*
"Fine, let him in. But search him before he enters. I can't risk my life. I don't trust any fucking person. If he won't allow it, don't let him in. And if he asks why, tell him your boss ordered you to search anyone who wants to come in," she instructed. The guard was taken aback by her strictness, realizing they had a firm princess on their hands.
"Yes, Your Highness," the guard bowed and left, leaving the maids around Xiotan surprised by her assertiveness.
"What do you know about this fourth prince?" Xiotan asked one of the maids beside her as she continued chopping onions.
"I don't know much, but I do know His Majesty and the fourth prince have never been on good terms," the maid replied.
"Oh, I see. So, they hate each other?"
"Yeah, real hate."
"Now I understand what's going on. He's here to cause trouble. No problem, he'll find me ready," Xiotan said, just as the fourth prince entered with a strange smile on his face.
"Hello, Princess. You've got some strict rules here," he greeted, smiling as he walked in.
"Welcome. Those rules are meant for people who aren't welcome here," Xiotan responded, mirroring his smile.

**At Li Cheng's Company**
Li Cheng sat in his office, watching everything happening at his home on his laptop, with a pod in his ear to listen to their conversation.
Though he and Xiotan didn't spend much time together, he always kept an eye on her. He didn't want anything to happen to her—after all, she was still the spice in his life. Her actions never ceased to amaze him. He had also promised her mother that he would always look after her, so he had no choice but to do so. That's why he had trackers placed in all her clothes, jewelry, bags, and so on, to monitor her movements.
"Sir, should I tell the guard to send him out?" Da Ming asked.
"No, no need. Just sit and watch the fun that's about to happen. I know the girl I married; she doesn't take shit," Li Cheng replied with a smirk.

**Back at Home**
Mo Yu Hao walked further into the kitchen, where Xiotan was preparing her meal, and stood beside her.
"So, you're the lucky girl. You're not that bad. How is he in bed? Is he… or do you want me to…? You understand what I mean, mm?" he whispered in her ear, blowing a breeze that made Xiotan want to throw up in disgust.
But she didn't respond, continuing to chop her carrots instead.
"I see you're one tough girl. That's nice," he added, trailing his hand along her arm.
"Do you know something? I can actually satisfy you more than he can. I know he's a punk and doesn't treat girls well," he added, this time placing his hand on her waist.
"See, let me tell you something. If that useless hand of yours touches me again, I will make sure to chop it off, cook it, and feed it to the dogs. Just try me," she dared, making him laugh out loud.
"Oh my god, you've got some guts. You dare talk to me like that?" he sneered.
"You know why I didn't talk? Because your mouth smells. Did you even brush before coming here? Yuck! I even saw a fly drop dead because of your mouth odor. Disgusting!" she replied, nearly making all the maids burst out laughing.
"HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!" he yelled, grabbing Xiotan by the back of her hair, which only fueled her anger.
"Are you mad? Do you have a death WISH?" she yelled back, grabbing the knife and slashing his face, causing it to bleed immediately. He let go of her in shock and pain.
