The deeper they went, the thicker the mist grew—dense, cold, almost wet like breathing through a soaked cloth. It clung to their armor and lashes, turning everything pale and ghostly. Even the girls' vibrant colors were dulled to grey-blue shadows in the unnatural fog.
The tunnel walls twisted, scarred with ancient claw marks and glowing veins of pulsing abyssal energy. The atmosphere crackled with mana so thick it felt alive. Somewhere, distant rumbling echoed like thunder trapped underground.
