And just like that, the players of the strange maid game had gathered at the long dining room table once again to meet with their host. The owner of the manor, Master Rauly, looked up and down his dining room table, first at his perfectly dressed and presented row of maids and then to the motley collection of players in his little game.
This morning's game was quick and entertaining, but secretly the Master of the house yearned for just a bit more.
It was now the evening and the dining room was silent except for the sounds of the guests enjoying their dinner and the comforting patter of rain outside.
"I suspect everyone will sleep well tonight to the sound of the rain, or is that just something I enjoy?" Master Rauly pondered out loud.
A few of the guests looked up without responded, some wanted to respond, but found their mouth to full of food at the moment, leaving only one response to be heard.
"Yes, I enjoy it as well," Lucian the wolf spoke up, looking up from his plate.
"Ah, I thought I might be the only one. Though I do believe it's supposed to storm tonight," Master Rauly went on.
"Even better," the wolf said. "That reminds me. Could I bother you for the recipe of that cake? My maid is too shy to ask," Lucian went on, his bunny maid blushing just a bit.
"Why of course! Momo, could you get a recipe card for maid Luna?" Master Rauly requested.
"Of course Sir," the little goblin said with a slight bow before walking off into the kitchen.
The Master waited a minute or two for her, but she had not yet returned.
"Well, I guess she is going to be a minute, so I think I'm going to turn in for bed early tonight.
