Chapter 53 - Legend Sixteen Part Three - (Now this dude really has us running around his fucking mansion and roleplaying!

"Of course it is," Sylas sighed.

"So! Obviously tonight's game is a murder mystery! I, the Master of the house, have been murdered by one of my maids, but who could it be? That is what you must find out! Obviously the first team to guess the murderer correctly with proper evidence wins! But be careful, the murderer doesn't want to be found out and will kill again to keep their identity secret! Basically they will swipe you with a red marker and then you are dead. Once you are dead, you are eliminated from this game and I ask that you remain as still as you can, and not speak or you risk elimination from future games," Master Rauly explained. "Oh! And those who have already been eliminated may play as well, but only if they are helping our guests who are still in the game to win." He clapped his hands together. "Sound good?" he asked his guests.

The room was silent for a moment as his guests looked around a few laughed to themselves. There was a collective nod and few a yeses.

"YES! But I am going to crack the case of who ate the rest of the cake!" Quinn announced loudly.

Master Rauly laughed.

"Do feel free," he encouraged the cat girl.

"Oh that reminds me!" Momo the goblin said, having finally returned. "Here's that recipe you asked for," she said, handing a handwritten note card to Luna the rabbit maid.

"Thank you Ma'am," she said in a gentle voice that was like a whisper of a breeze on a hot summer day.

Sylas narrowed his eyes at the goblin and looked her up and down as if trying to perceive something about her.

"Alrighty then! Feel free to start, and from here on, I won't be speaking any further! If you need me, I'll be in the library," Master Rauly said, taking his leave from the dining room and leaving his guests and maids to stand suspicious of one another.

Barric was the first to speak up.

"So uhh... did anyone see anything before the lights went out?"

Everyone was quiet for a moment as they all looked towards the house maids in suspicion.

"Can't all of you like see in the dark or something?" Barric asked, addressing the rest of his party.

Sylas nodded and went to answer his question, but was quickly interrupted as Hana beat him to it.

"We can, but I think that lightning strike blinded all of us," Hana explained.

"How lucky for the pretend killer," Lucy said.

"Yes, oddly lucky," Sylas said in a low tone. The rest of the party looked at him with raised eyebrows, but he didn't elaborate further.

"Yea well, I don't know about the rest of you, but me and Sylas have already list, so we're gonna find out who ate the rest of the cake!" Quinn announced once again, this to specifically to her party.

"Yes yes, we heard the first time. But I think I'm actually more interested in helping the others solve this," Sylas admitted.

"Oh? This one finally piqued your interest?" Layla teased.

"This might just be my kind of game," the demon admitted further.

"So what's the plan then?" Lucy asked.

"Well we know where the murder took place and what the weapon was. We just have to figure out who it was obviously. We know it was one of the maids because of the game's rules. We know all the maids except Momo were in the dining room when it happened."

"Right! So clearly it wasn't her," Hana interrupted.

"I wouldn't mark her off as a suspect just yet. We don't really know any of these maids or what they are capable of," Sylas went on.

"Good point," Hana said, as the others all nodded.

"With that being said, I think we should split into groups and go question all of the house maids," the demon suggested.
