The hospital director glanced at Nidia while Jackson was sitting lazily in her office. Jackson did not like to beat around the bush and wanted the hospital director to get to the point.
Although she could have gotten the information through investigation reports, Nidia wanted to hear about what happened personally. Without hesitation, Jackson put aside his work and accompanied her.
His unfriendly posture and serious stare were giving additional stress to the hospital director.
"You're Nid, right?" The hospital director finally broke the silence that was growing increasingly awkward.
"Yes, I can't believe you still remember my name," Nidia replied, surprised.
"Of course I remember you. My colleague gave you this nickname," she answered slowly.
"Actually, I was not involved in this matter. It was my former colleague who told me this secret before she passed on," she replied with a sigh.
