The living room was dark, and Bo Yanching had not taken the cigarette from his mouth once, though he continued to pinch it between his fingers. The flickering ember couldn't brighten even half an inch of space.
"Haven't you slept?"
Bo Yanching immediately snuffed out the cigarette upon seeing Nan Jiaojiao looking for the switch, "Jiaojiao, don't turn on the light."
"Oh, okay."
It was just as well without the light; it wasn't completely dark. The lamps outside shed some light through the window.
Nan Jiaojiao walked over, and as he reached out to welcome her, she placed her hand in his and sat down beside him.
"Did I wake you?"
"You didn't make any sound, how could you have woken me? I just came out to get some water."
"I'll go pour it for you."
Bo Yanching had just stretched out his legs and was about to move when Nan Jiaojiao suddenly hugged his waist.
"Why are you out here smoking alone?"
