Yeah, it really is him. I didn't recognize him in the slightest until he spoke, I can still hardly believe that it's him. He looks like he's lost some weight, his hair has grown long, messy and unkempt.
His skin looked in bad condition too, a few zits on his cheeks peeking out through his heavy stubble. His lips were dry and cracked, and his fingernails looked rough and uneven, like he'd been stress-chewing on them regularly.
"Uh, hey, man, it sure has been a while. It's good to see you again. You're...you're looking, uh...," I trailed off, unable to think of an adjective that wouldn't be too rude.
"You don't have to say it, I know, I look like shit, right? Yeah, I'm well aware of that. I just don't care," He replied with a bitter smile, his shoulders slumping a bit.
It hurts to see him like this...I wonder, would things have turned out better for him if he'd never met me?
