I got dressed in deep thoughts ,
knotting my tie I froze ,
"Oh shoot!" I cursed out .
I forgot about my assignment, hell I forgot my book at the abandoned building, Physics class was this morning, there was no way I could skip class as I had a perfect attendance record and I couldn't afford to lose points because of not submitting or arriving on time –this would surely affect my grades and I definitely can't have that, my brother would worry.
I hastily got prepared, ran down to the kitchen to grab breakfast ,
"Morning Dad" I greeted my father who came to take a bottle of alcohol and dashed out of the house.
I ran to the train station like my life depended on it , boarding the train, I checked my watch for the nth time to see I still have enough time, I breathe out a sigh of relief. I got of the train and boarded another one, when I got off, I made my way to the deserted area and to the abandoned building.
I hastily walked up to the room , rampaging around I found my physics book neatly placed on the bean bag, without giving it much thought I dashed to the train station to catch the train.
"Luck seems to be on my side " I heaved a sigh of relief as I sat down in class.
Class started and the teacher asked the class rep[1] to pickup the assignments , when the class rep took my book and walked past my table, it hit me
'Oh shoot!!, I didn't do the assignment,
oh Lord please help me '
"ugh.... hey hello .... hello miss" I called but she plainly ignored me .
I was near angry but this was my fault, I could only wish God would perform a miracle .
I pushed that worry aside and focused on the lesson, when school was over I was called to see my Physics teacher.
Now I was currently standing in front of the staff room, my heart was pounding
as different negative thoughts filled my head , slowly I opened the door and went in .
Few minutes later I came out , apparently my physics teacher praised me for doing a splendid job on my assignment and encouraged me to keep it up.
I was happy, so happy that I hummed softly going home, I did all my homework, cleaned the house, had my bath , then cooked and ate dinner, watched a movie and went to bed.
However the moment my eyes closed they shot open , I abruptly sat up and screamed as realization hit me
"Huuuuh?!, wait ,wait ,I didn't do my assignment!" .
Today went as usual with the thoughts
' who did my assignment? ' plaguing my mind.
I made my way into the abandoned building and into the room, I stood at the entrance and scanned the room .
Now that I've thought about it, this place was always maintained and cleaned spotless ,
I've always had a stack of food and drinks, it's almost like I'm not the only one living here .
(Hold up , I know you're thinking " how dumb are you for just realizing this ?". Well you can't blame me I got a lot of sh*ts going on in my life .....so . ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌. )
I looked around for the lamp but I couldn't find it , my eyes caught a blank sticky note on the wall , I took it off and saw there was a switch underneath , not thinking much I pressed it and the whole place lit up surprising me , this place had electricity..... now I don't have to bother about light ,
'How convenient'.
I settled down by the window looking down at my physics notebook ,
I was a hundred percent sure that I didn't do my assignment or maybe I did it and slept off or I did it in my sleep..... no no no the equation looked like it was solved by a professional mathematician.
I know truly I'm not this smart but then again it was my exact handwriting, the spacing, cancellation , strokes just everything look like I wrote it.
' Am I a lie?'
After much thought I came to the conclusion ; I'm definitely not the only one living here .
Panic filled my heart ,
'Wait what if the other person is a murderer?, a robber? , hitman?, assassin?, mafia gang member?, a cultist or sacrifices human??! '
How could I be so careless, I've been staying here for almost two years and I just now realized this!!
What if the Fbi suddenly shows up and accuse me of killing or robbery?!
I started panicking and without thinking much I quietly slipped out and tiptoed for my dear life away from the building, all while feeling like a damn criminal.
I swore to my self never to go back there again , what if I got into some serious trouble , I can't have my perfectly troubled life gifted with more impending doom .
No, no, no, I can't have that , not now , not ever .
But at the same time my heart refused to listen to me, this place was my second home or maybe my only home .

I had the feeling that the abandoned building aka my safe haven was haunted , because no logical reason could back up the strange phenomenon of my book suddenly .... anyways I'm trying not to think about it and for this reason for a week now , I've been consciously avoiding My safe haven.
– Wednesday –
Field
I stood amongst my fellow students , listening to the teacher's instructions under the scorching sun .
" Okay now students , you may now group yourselves " The P.E teacher said and instantly the field became rowdy .
I stood unmoved , listening to the excited chatters around me , a hundred times I tried in my head to insert myself into a group as my body refused to cooperate.
The P.E teacher's whistle blew loudly causing the students to quiet down and compose themselves .
At this moment I saw I didn't have anyone around me , I was isolated, basically the only one without a partner or two .
I looked around confused ,my feelings were uncertain ,I felt lost and more hurt that no one seemed to notice , I ...I was ignored .
The class went on with no mishaps , irritated , I wandered off the field to the back of the school's main building .
I just stared up at the bleak sky ,lost in thought .
" Pl...pl... please do-don't do this "
I heard a soft whimper near by followed by a smug and amused
" Oh so you know how to act docile , what happened to the fierce tiger ,hmm? , please me well and I might let you off ".
This was accompanied by mocking laughters.
I was curious.
I didn't have much to do anyways , so I decided to see what's up .
Getting closer to the source of the noise ,a group of four boys with eager grins plastered on their faces ,surrounding another boy( most likely to be the ring leader ) who pressed a female student against the wall in a perverse manner entered my sight .
From the line on their collars , I could tell they were seniors .
In order not to be seen , I crouched down and blended in with the over grown bushes .
The boy held the girl's wrists above her head , his intentions were clearly written all over his face ,
' Wow I did not expect such a thing to happen in school ,much more within class mates –wait!, am I about to watch a defenseless girl get molested and humiliated?!!' I shivered at this thought ,
I shook my head , no, no, no, nope, this is none of my business !,I should go call a teacher and be not directly involved in this , it's still considered helping ....right? , I felt guilty but the instinct to avoid trouble was stronger.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking , I'm a classic jerk and coward .
I convinced myself to leave before getting caught ,I took a last glance at them just to see , the boy reaching under the girl's skirt and tugging at something, helpless about the situation the girl burst into silent tears.
'Tears?'
Seeing her cry stirred something in me, this feeling...I don't like it , it's like an itch I can't get rid of .
I don't like it
' What should I do?'
Suddenly like passing wind , my brother's angry words to my sister echoed in my head ,
" A girl should never have her dignity trampled on in such a distasteful way !!!!!, if I ever catch that bastard!!! who dared to touch you , oh Lord God ! ,please help me cus I'll surely extrude them from existence !, I don't mind having blood on my hands!" .
' That's right, no one should toy with a girl! '
As if possessed ,my body launched forward as unknown anger filled my heart .
Nobody expected this as I was successful in landing a heavy punch on the ring leader's face ,while everyone was startled by the turn of events , I quickly grabbed the even more confused girl and pushed her away
"Run!".
"Shit!" the boys cursed loudly ,
She ran away , giving me an odd sense of peace ,
I was about to follow suit but luck just smirked at me , three of the boys cornered me as the other helped their leader up .
Their movements brimmed with hostility , their towering heights surely was intimidating.
' So much for staying uninvolved ,Oh well at least I feel no regrets, odd but who cares '
I sighed deeply .
Just as you'd imagine , yes ,yes I was beaten up roughly .

–Later in the evening–
I winched as I soaked myself in warm water , I had bruises all over which was very painful and turning all shades of purple , thankfully there weren't much bruises on my face .
Who knows what would happen if my brother suddenly shows up and sees my face battered up , a situation I probably shouldn't imagine .
I laid stiff on my bed , wary of pulling my injuries, sighing , I closed my eyes for some rest .
Moaning
I could hear it , the disturbing ahhhhs and mmmms .
" Shit! Mom's at it again , what crime did I do to deserve this unsettling punishment" I grumbled , pressing my pillow against my ears , forget my bruises, this putrid noise hurt my soul more .
'I'm going to my safe Haven' .
