Luo Zhelan glanced at his watch. An hour had passed, and he still had other matters to attend to that day. Carefully, he shifted, trying to move off the sofa without disturbing Jiang Yue.
But the moment he did, she stirred.
Her brows furrowed slightly as her eyes fluttered open. Luo Zhelan sighed lightly, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."
Jiang Yue blinked sleepily, adjusting to her surroundings.
"You should go back to sleep," he continued. "I have to leave—I still have a meeting."
She sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, before glancing at the clock on the wall. Her expression shifted as she scanned the room.
"…Where's Guan Ying?" she muttered, frowning.
Luo Zhelan adjusted his sleeves, standing. "My men will be arriving soon to guard the room."
Jiang Yue nodded absently, still lost in thought. She needed to stop by her apartment later for a change of clothes.
Luo Zhelan picked up his coat, smoothing it over his arm. "Update me if anything changes with Jiang Xiu."
