Gu Lanshan had not expected that, despite missing his birthday party, he had still taken care of sending everyone home from the old mansion.
The Housekeeper, noticing that Gu Lanshan hadn't spoken, considerately asked again, "Lady Shan, have you had dinner?"
Gu Lanshan hadn't eaten; perhaps she was too hungry to feel it now, so she simply shook her head and said, "I'm not hungry."
The Housekeeper nodded, assuming Gu Lanshan had eaten, "Then I will go upstairs and prepare your bathwater, Lady Shan."
Gu Lanshan smiled faintly, "No need, you go rest."
"Then, Lady Shan, you should rest early too." The Housekeeper, being older, couldn't handle staying up too late. Hearing Gu Lanshan's words, she bade her goodnight and cheerfully returned to her room to sleep.
Gu Lanshan went upstairs. Having always been afraid of the dark, she instinctively wanted to turn on the light but discovered that the lights in the stairway and hallway were already on.
