I grabbed my paddle and started paddling. "Ah! That was a great hit. It's been a long time since I played baseball. That was refreshing." Just when I thought I could finally have a few minutes of peaceful moments to myself, a large group of big size jellyfish monsters appeared with their wriggly gelatinous bodies. Their tentacles stretched out and struck me with murderous intent. I yelped. "Seriously? Can't I have one moment of peace and silence?"
The jellyfish monsters stopped moving and floated on the juice. I wiped my forehead and let out a big sigh. "What's the odd that jellyfish monsters listen to me? Hahaha."
Crackle. Crackle.
"Oui... What's that sound?" I looked down at the juice and saw the juice crackled with an electric energy. I backed away in fear and looked up to see something weird going on with the jellyfish monsters. I looked closely and saw the jellyfish monsters' tentacles shooting out electricity, casting an eerie light around the walls of the large intestine. Suddenly, a bolt of lighting, sliced through the darkness, shot down towards me. I quickly covered the lid.
Zap!
The lightning struck the treasure box with an explosive force. The air crackled with energy as the lightning bolt dispersed. I, who was still lying in the treasure box, could feel the tingling sensation on my skin, even though the lightning didn't touch me. I touched my hair and felt bouncy. "Oui! You got to be kidding me! I tried afro hair when I was young, and it didn't look good on me." I combed my hair and sighed in relief.
I slowly opened the lid and saw the jellyfish monsters rushing towards me. "Gyahh!" I immediately grabbed the paddle and started paddling with my dear life.
Piak! Piak! Piak!
Adrenaline surged through my veins as I dodged and weaved, narrowly avoided their venomous tentacles that lashed out in all directions. I could feel the stinging brush of their touch against my skin as a reminder of the excruciating pain I experienced with my arm.
Through pure determination, I gathered all my strength into paddling faster. However, with each stride, the distance between us didn't widen, and I started panicking. But then, I felt a slight touch on my feet. I glanced down and saw grenades rolling near my feet. Eureka! I completely forgot I picked up some grenades in the rabbit's stomach.
I reached for the grenade next to my feet. I took a deep breath and gripped it tightly, feeling the weight of the grenade. Seeing the monsters coming closer, I twisted the ring, activating the grenade's mechanism. With a surge of adrenaline, I released the lever and hurled the grenade towards the jellyfish monsters. A split second later, the grenade erupted in a blinding flash and a deafening blast. The explosive force tore through the air, pushing me backwards. The monsters, caught off guard by the sudden explosion, were caught in the destructive radius. A few of them were instantly obliterated.
As the explosion echoed through the surroundings, the remaining monsters staggered, disoriented, and weakened. Some bore the scars of the blast, their bodies charred and maimed. The attack had momentarily disrupted their pursuit, providing me a chance to escape. Seizing this opportunity, I paddled forward, utilizing the monsters' temporary confusion to increase the distance between us.
Although the grenade had obliterated a few of the monsters, I knew those monsters were not going to give up that easily. Shortly, the remaining monsters, recovering from the shock, and resumed their pursuit. I swiftly armed the second grenade, and my head was calm despite the adrenaline coursing through my veins. As the pursuing monsters closed in, I threw in another grenade towards them.
Boom! The grenade detonated, unleashing a devastating shockwave that rippled through the air. The force of the blast engulfed the monsters. Their jelly like bodies were blasted apart and sizzled into the juice. I sighed in relief, thinking that everything was over. However, when the smoke dispersed, I saw the remaining monsters surging forward with even more murderous intent. They looked as if they were determined to hunt their target no matter what in order to get their revenge for their fallen brethren.
I screamed and continued to paddle forward, gripping the remaining grenades tightly. With those crazy monsters chasing after me, there was no room for hesitation or doubt as I launched the grenades one after another.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions echoed the entire place. Slowly, the number of monsters was decreasing. However, with every fallen brethren, their angers burn more than before. The monsters were still relentless on their pursuit as they would not stop until their thirst for vengeance was fulfilled.
I licked my lips and smirked as I watched the relentless jellyfish monsters closing in. I decided it's time to turn to tide and show them who's the food. "Oui. So that's how it's going to be, huh?" I stood up with my head held high. I felt a sudden fire, burning strong inside me, fueling me with courage to confront them. I clenched my fist and said. "Let's stop this cat and mouse chase and fight fire with fire." I grabbed a twin sword and closed my eyes, remembering the time in the second game. "People might say it's impossible... But nothing is impossible for me as I am Llyne."
The jellyfish monsters wailed and attacked me with their tentacles. I dodged and weaved, swiftly avoided the deadly strikes of their tentacles, nevertheless, a few of their attacks landed on me. Although their stinging tendrils brushed against my skin, I fought through the pain, fueled by a determination to eradicate the threat before me. 'I can see it... Their movements.' I could feel the rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins, sharpening my focus.
As one of the monsters lunged forward, I planted my foot firmly on its extended tentacles and propelled myself higher into the air. My body suspended above the chaos and gracefully descended towards the crowd of monsters. My twin swords flashed in the stormy light as I lunged towards them, aiming for their vulnerable spots. As I landed amidst the tangle of tentacles, I struck with precision and ferocity. Each slash of my swords severing tentacles and leaving the monsters staggering in pain. Their wails of agony echoed in the air. Yet, despite their pain, the monsters refused to yield. Instead, they fought back harder as their tentacles lashed out to overpower me.
I clenched my sword harder and evaded their flailing tentacles, my body moving with grace and agility. I seized every opening to retaliate, striking with calculated fury. Stepping upon their injured and weakened tentacles, I used them to propel myself towards the heart of the battle. With a final surge of determination, I unleashed a series of devastating blows, plunging my swords into the core of the remaining monsters.
As the final monster fell, the battlefield fell silent. Breathing heavily, I looked around and gazed upon the defeated monsters lay scattered around me. I stood amidst the remnants of the battle, my body battered and bruised. I chuckled and sheathed my swords. "It's finally over."
Step. Step. Step.
I walked over the monsters' dead bodies and laid inside my treasure chest. Blood and sweat slowly dripped down from my body, mingling together. The air was heavy with the metallic scent of blood and decay bodies. I looked at my injured body. Each drop of blood was a reminder of the wounds I had sustained and the pain endured. Every droplet of blood and sweat mirrored the effort and determination poured into each strike and evasion. I took a moment to wipe the sweat from my face, feeling the stickiness and the saltiness against my skin. The stinging wounds throbbed in rhythm with my heartbeat.
Moreover, with my tired eyes, heavy from the exhaustion of the battle, I decided to surrender myself to the whims of the current. The adrenaline coursing through my veins began to subside, a sense of tranquillity washed over me. The rhythmic rocking of the treasure chest and the gentle lapping of the waves created a soothing symphony that lulled my weary body into a state of relaxation.
As I drifted further, my tired muscles relaxed, and my breathing became calm and steady. Time seemed to lose its meaning as I allowed myself to be enveloped by the serenity of the moment.
After a tranquil sleep, which felt like eternity, I gently open my eyes. As I opened my eyes, the world around me snapped into focus. The remnants of the dreamy drift and the vivid images of battles fought gradually faded away, replaced by the reality of my surroundings.
I found myself sitting up straight, my posture adjusting to the sudden shift in my consciousness. Taking a deep breath, I observed my surroundings. As the boat continued its aimless drift, I noticed a shift in the surrounding landscape. The walls were gradually narrowing until they formed a passage that resembled an exit.
With a mischievous grin, I chuckled at the thought that had crossed my mind. "I'm here at last. Now. Let's exit with big bang, shall we?" There was no way I couldn't leave this place without a memorable bang. A surge of excitement coursed through me as I reached into the treasure box.
