3rd person POV (Knowhere)
After a very cinematic battle that was unfortunately cut for time and budget concerns the Guardians of the Galaxy were getting ready to leave now that Komand'r was locked up in their brig. The collector was trying to bribe them with various things to keep the Tamaranean princess for his collection. They refused multiple times but they were definitely tempted considering all the amazing things the collector offered.
Unfortunately the battle for Knowhere took longer than expected and since there was no time table for collecting the bounty they headed directly to earth. The plan was simple head to earth hopefully before a war breaks out then act as mediators to reach a consensus then drop off the warlord princess at a green lantern base. Hopefully the lanterns weren't stingy and threw in a bonus considering how they under sold how dangerous Komand'r actually was. Patricia was hoping that they might throw in one of those fancy rings of their's.

Shiera Sanders POV (Thanagarian embassy Washington)
There has been news all over the extra net about about a team of negotiators hired by the Shi'ar empire coming to earth to help resolve things diplomatically. The Thanagarian empire originally wanted to invade earth but between the possible super weapon and Shi'ar involvement they decided to take a more cautious approach. At this point no one wants to continue the campaign against earth as it has stretched on longer than expected but as we have invested so much it became impossible to walk away empty handed.
Personally I'm just done my standing in both the empire and earth has taken a nose dive the swarms of marriage proposals have dried up and have been rescinded. The people of no longer regard me as a hero and look at me only with scorn even when I tried to continue my heroic career. I stopped a bank robbery and subdued the criminals the police gave me a gruff thanks that felt more forced than meaningful and I was asked to not interfere with police business in the future. So whether this negotiation fails or is successful I no longer could bring myself to care.

MC'S POV (Massachusetts Academy)
I should be relaxing with my girls possibly expanding my harem with some of the girls here yet instead I was somehow face to face with Cyborg. I completely forgot how he said that we were going to meet again but that was probably the point. He didn't want me prepared which is likely why he waited so long to get back to me or more realistically he had more important things than this and only now could prioritize it. Still it was pretty creepy that he tracked me
Cyborg: It's been a while and I noticed that you've never made any attempts to reach out or check on Nightwing even though you're the one that put him in critical condition
"I did no such thing and I don't plan to rehash the events of that day when it was clear what occurred and who was responsible. I don't feel any level of responsibility towards Nightwing his actions are his own as are the consequences of those actions I am not obligated to save people from themselves"
Cyborg: No one could have predicted...
"Your wrong and right in the same breath. Almost no one could have predicted that but that is all the more reason that Nightwing shouldn't have messed with something beyond his understanding regardless of what he assumed it to be"
Cyborg: FUCK you too asshole! All I want to know is whether you plan on helping Nighwing or not! I know that Batman went out of his way to ask for your help Nightwing doesn't deserve to stay crippled forever and you can help him!
"And why should I? There are plenty of people who could help him even more that need help even more desperately yet you are placing one individual above others saying that because of who he is that he should receive preferential treatment? Wasn't the League's whole thing that all are equal? Now you imply that one life is worth more than others? Weren't you all stating that I have no right to decide on who lives and dies?"
Cyborg: That was regarding killing people this about saving a life!
"I disagree you want to control my actions to force my decision let me inform you that it goes both ways my inaction is not me harming someone and just because I have the ability doesn't mean I am required to help I would tell you to find someone else but if you came to see me I doubt there's anyone else..."
Cyborg: I knew it was a terrible idea to see you but Raven insisted that you are a good person and I don't want him to end up like me half a man... please don't condemn him to my fate you can ask for almost anything don't leave him like...
"Fine I'll go see him and give him the choice"
