Chapter 17 - Sausage

In the silence of the night, subtle shifts in the air quietly altered the house's interior and exterior design. In the basement, a brown door appeared in the corner, the word 'Storage' slowly engraving itself into the surface. On the roof, newly materialized solar panels covered the entire backside.

Both the water and air purification systems received upgrades. A new water filtration system was installed in the boiler room, and new air filtration systems were installed in the house.

When looking at the walls and windows, one would think nothing had changed with them. But on closer inspection, they were both now reinforced. The originally fragile windows were now bulletproof, the walls also becoming much more resilient to multiple forms of attack.

The front, back, and garage doors were also now strongly reinforced. Growing a few centimeters thicker, the original doors were now replaced with sturdy steel.

Winter woke up feeling refreshed after the experience from the previous night. His mind still replaying events from last night's endeavors.

Like last night, Sage's head was still lying on his chest; in addition, her leg was now propped on top of his. Winter enjoyed her company for a few more minutes before getting ready for the day.

Gently moving Sage's leg, he rose from the bed—which was still a mess—and entered the bathroom.

'I'll deal with that later when everybody wakes up,' he thought.

Winter grabbed his toothbrush from the cup and turned the cap, allowing water to pass through. To his surprise, instead of the water pressure lowering, the pressure was slightly stronger than normal.

Opening his system screen, he found the perpetrator.

The previous timer by the 'upgrades' tab was gone. This meant they could continue to live comfortably. With all the good news, Winter began humming a tune as he brushed his teeth. When he was finished, he got into the shower before getting dressed.

Winter wore a black beater, black sweatpants, and took his shoes downstairs in case they headed out.

He walked out of the bathroom, his eyes gazing upon Sage's erotic body. Though she was hesitant at first, Winter found out she was just playing coy! After playing hard to get, Sage's mood did a complete 180. From that moment on, she had ended up draining him dry.

As he was staring at Sage, a notification screen appeared in front of him.

[Would you like to add 'Sage Sanchez' to your Partners?]

[Y/N]

'Yes'

After choosing yes, Winter felt a strange tie to Sage. Almost like he was her guardian. Winter thought about it but decided to inquire about it later.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Winter peeked over the couch and found Simon snoring. He considered messing with him but decided against it—they had a somewhat busy schedule, and he wanted to get a head start.

To his surprise, Ava was already in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Glancing at the digital clock on the oven, it read 9:08 a.m., so he was slightly surprised to see her up so early—especially after losing a loved one.

Walking up to Ava, he gently tapped her on the shoulder, making her jump in surprise. She turned around to see Winter standing over her.

"Do you always do that?" Holding her heart, she questioned.

"Sometimes, need any help?" he replied.

Ava glanced over to the side and pointed at some thawed sausages. "Could you pan-fry those for me?"

Winter looked over to the side before turning back to Ava and nodding.

As he cooked the sausages, Ava sparked up small talk, her lips curling up into a knowing smile. "You know, it's weird. Last night I saw Sage leave the bedroom. I assumed it was to use the bathroom, but even after 20 minutes... she never came back."

Winter froze, a wry smile forming on his lips.

"Do you happen to know where she went?" she questioned, pressing further. The truth was, Ava already knew. After Sage left and didn't return for more than 20 minutes, Ava got worried and went out in search of her.

After looking around downstairs, she went down into the basement to see if she was there, but Sage was nowhere to be seen. That left the only place she hadn't checked. The second floor.

Ava closed the basement door behind her and began making her way upstairs. As she grew near, the muffled sounds of flesh slapping together became apparent. Finally reaching the second floor, the sounds of sex became as clear as day.

Sounds echoed from Winter's room. Getting closer, Sage's lustful moans were heard from through the door. Unaware of an unexpected visitor, Winter continued to pound Sage's pelvis with relative force.

The louder Sage's moans got, the more Ava inched towards the door. Unconsiously, Ava's hand drifted down to her vagina as she began masturbating.

Ava's hand rubbed against the fabric separating her fingers from her garden. Listening to the increasing tempo, she masturbated faster until she couldn't withstand it anymore. Ava squirted as she shuddered in pleasure.

Ashamed by her actions, Ava made her way back downstairs, mentally noting down what she heard.

Calming down, Winter answered her while he continued searing the sausages. "Yeah, she came- walked. Walked into my room because she couldn't sleep."

Smiling, Ava turned towards Winter. "Does she often 'cum' in your room when she can't sleep?"

'She definitely caught my slip-up,' he thought in distress.

*Ahem, ahem*

Clearing his throat, he glanced at Ava, but unable to maintain eye contact, he turned away. "I think the sausages are done. Where do you want them?"

Ava giggled, deciding that the teasing was enough.

But pondering, she decided. 'One more couldn't hurt.'

"Just turn the heat down and place a lid over them. That'll keep them warm and juicy," she said.

Winter wasn't sure if she had some hidden intent behind that, but after last night, he was too mentally drained to think any further. Doing as she said, he turned the heat down and placed a lid over the pan.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and get a head start on cleaning the other room," he yawned. "If they aren't up by the time I'm done, I'll wake them up."

Ava nodded, adding, "I can wake them up if you want me to."

Remembering the mess he and Sage had made in his room, Winter quickly shook his head.

"It's fine, I don't wanna disturb your cooking," he inputted.

Winter went back upstairs as Ava continued to make breakfast.

Upon entering his parents' room, it was already a cleaner sight than when he first got there. The bloody bed sheets were gone, and the distinct smell of blood was now replaced with the soft scent of satin.

It was still a slight mess, but nothing he couldn't handle under 20 minutes.

"Let's get started."
