The days that followed were pretty much boring and unremarkable.
Yu Qingyu spent all of his time idling around. He slept until noon, then holed in the library, or if the weather was nice, in the summer house, reading books. He couldn't really work on his mission, as he was always accompanied by guards, none of whom he was familiar with. He wouldn't dare attempt to spy on the Duke in their presence, forget trying to break into his chambers again.
It should have been a perfect life for him. Sleeping as much as he wanted, reading as much as he wanted, and indulging in delicious food as much as he wanted… That's how he liked to spend most of his days off, back in his original world. Well, except for indulging in food. He couldn't do it as much in his real body, since he had to watch his line. He didn't have to worry about it during transmigration though. So, he should have been happy and relaxed, enjoying himself. Yet somehow, he felt strangely empty and disinterested instead.
