Chapter 159 - Loyal Servant

Morris stared at the figure on the ground, who was breathing weakly, and couldn't help but shiver. The wand in his hand had slipped from his grasp in shock.

The power of the spell he had just witnessed was beyond anything he had ever seen, even more formidable than the Unforgivable Curses. The ability to summon thunder and lightning without a wand was unprecedented.

Who, exactly, was this blond wizard?

Morris's eyes, hidden under his black robe, darted toward Luke, who was now crouched beside Selwyn, checking his condition. Despite the grim situation, Luke's face remained calm and friendly, seemingly harmless.

"Just don't die," Luke murmured, looking at Selwyn with his chest heaving, a satisfied nod on his lips. He had carefully controlled the power of the thunderbolt; otherwise, Selwyn would have been reduced to ash.

He used his wand to stabilize Selwyn's serious injuries, ensuring he wouldn't bleed out. Now, the living sacrifice for Tom 's resurrection was secured. All that remained was to obtain a bit of DNA to complete the reincarnation jutsu.

Luke's gaze shifted to Morris, who stood dumbfounded.

"Are you the werewolf who needs the wolf poison potion?" Luke asked, curiosity evident in his voice.

Morris, noticing Luke's attention, quickly introduced himself.

"Hello, sir, I'm Morris Carr. I was wondering if I could leave now, if you don't need anything else? I didn't see anything that just happened!"

The scene had left Morris deeply shaken, fearful that he might end up like Selwyn if he wasn't cautious.

Luke looked at Morris with interest. "Are you a werewolf?" he asked, his tone light but inquisitive.

"Yes... yes, sir!"

Morris gritted his teeth and replied in a low voice. He knew that Luke had overheard his conversation with the Death Eater Selwyn and there was no way to hide it.

"Is that so…"

Luke glanced at Morris and then turned around to put Selwyn's body into the Kamui space.

As the body was gradually absorbed into the unknown vortex, Morris lowered his head.

"Come on, you must have a place to stay in Knockturn Alley."

Though phrased as a question, Luke's tone was more of a statement. The homeless and despised werewolves could only wander through the forest or seek out abandoned, dilapidated buildings in Knockturn Alley.

"Yes, sir—"

"Please follow me!"

Watching Morris lead the way obediently, Luke chuckled and dispersed the golden thunderbolt wrapped around his palm.

Indeed, in Knockturn Alley, power was the root of everything.

They passed through a secluded area, navigating by collapsed houses, and eventually stopped in front of a dilapidated two-story building.

"This is where I live."

Morris pushed open the wooden door, avoiding eye contact with Luke as much as possible. He knew he couldn't resist this powerful wizard and decided it was better to comply than face death.

"The environment is decent."

Luke stepped inside and surveyed the clean floor and furniture. Wizards' homes, it seemed, were typically well-kept despite their circumstances.

Luke, sitting comfortably on a wooden chair, casually waved his wand to clean up the environment. The magic was simple—a mere flick of the wrist.

"I can help you regain your sanity after turning into a werewolf," Luke offered with a smile. He had researched the Wolf Poison Potion and knew the brewing process was complex but manageable with his current skills, especially with the precision provided by his kaleidoscope.

While his potion-making skills weren't quite up to Snape's level, he was confident he could brew the potion. More importantly, he wanted to test whether his horse charm could completely remove the werewolf curse.

"But I don't have any Galleons!" Morris protested, aware of his dire situation. His current predicament was a result of being tricked into working for Selwyn.

"Don't worry, you won't be charged any fees. You just need to help me with an experiment. If it works—" Luke said, trailing off with a confident smile, "your werewolf curse will be completely gone."

Morris's eyes widened. "And if it fails?"

"Failure is nothing." Luke took a sip from a glass of chocolate milk he had conjured. "Whether you believe it or not is up to you. Either way, I will proceed with the experiment."

Morris hesitated but eventually agreed. "...I agree to your deal!"

Luke nodded, pleased with the decision. He took out the horse charm from around his neck and aimed it at Morris. The charm was known for curing all diseases and lifting any external curses, though this was its first test on a werewolf curse.

A soft white light emanated from the charm, enveloping Morris. He felt an intense comfort, as if his body was floating.

"Wait—" Morris quickly pulled off his black robe and examined his skin, astonished. "The wounds from the werewolf bite... they're gone!"

"Want to test it further?" Luke asked, chuckling. He waved his wand to close the room's curtains and conjured a full moon from his wand.

Werewolves often howl at the sight of a full moon, even if it's not real.

"No, no, no!" Morris exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. "The curse—it's all gone!"

"I've recovered?" he murmured, still in shock. He turned to Luke, who was sipping his chocolate milk and looking quite satisfied.

"Sir—please make me your loyal servant!" Morris pleaded.
