"Aria," his voice came from inside the house.
"Just give me a little more time."
She paused mid-step, then turned her head with a slight redness in her eyes and smiled at him, "No."
He frowned slightly, looking at her moist eyes.
"Three years haven't been enough to make you fall in love with me. I don't want to give you any more time."
Having said that, she turned around and walked away.
Rufus Swallow stood still, raised his hand to his forehead, and took a gentle breath.
He hadn't really cared much about Aria Lulu and hadn't expected her to be so temperamental.
