After finishing dinner, Rito left to send Mahiru back to her house. As he said goodbye to Beta and Mikan, he asked them to watch out for Mikan.
At first, this made Beta a little uneasy, but since it was Rito, she simply nodded and agreed.
Rito soon found Mahiru wearing the bracelet he had given him, a small smile appearing on his lips, and he did not look around any further.

Rito remembers all of a sudden that the girl in front of him should not know his true appearance because his hair color changes whenever he merges with the spirit.
Rito simply disappeared from the scene without asking the girl's name, leaving a blond-haired girl there in silence as she watched Rito's disappearing figure and wondered whether she would ever see him again.
