Ethan Herd, filled with jealousy, calmed down considerably after a moment.
"But," he had to admit, "you still can't look at him. That guy, nowhere near as good as me, is bad news."
Scarlett Glenn yawned, "Alright, I won't look at him, I'll only look at you. Let's go to sleep."
Ethan lifted the quilt and let her lie down, "Sleep now."
Gabriel Johnny watched the couple unabashedly flaunting their affection; his face remained expressionless, but from the relaxed look in his eyes, it was clear he found their interaction quite interesting.
Ethan tucked Scarlett in snugly and stayed by her side, waiting for her to fall asleep before his expression changed instantly.
He turned his head and glared unfriendly at Gabriel, standing up and blocking his view, as he growled softly, "What are you looking at? Is my wife someone for you to stare at?"
Gabriel Johnny smiled faintly, feeling pain in his abdomen and unwilling to move while sitting.
