Yun Chi left the capital, and a heap of state affairs once again pressed upon An Shuli's shoulders.
Fortunately, the Emperor's health had improved, allowing him to attend the morning court sessions. With the Emperor presiding over the affairs, An Shuli could at least catch his breath.
Since Hua Yan had been rescued and brought back to the capital, he had only glimpsed her once, when she had just returned and was deep in slumber. It was not convenient for him to intrude inward, and it did not really count as meeting her. He had planned to visit in a couple of days, but he had not expected the King of Lingnan to act so quickly. With Yun Chi having to leave the capital in haste, there was even more for An Shuli to do.
