Gu Yu's mother was taken aback for a moment, then turned her head to look at the spot beside her.
Upon looking, she couldn't help it, and her tears started falling.
"How has your dad gotten so thin??" Gu Yu's mother, while wiping the tears off her face, choked up to Gu Yu: "Your dad used to be so handsome, how did he end up like this."
As she spoke, she gently touched Gu Yu's father's face.
"The two of you lying in bed, hardly moving for five years, only able to eat liquid food..." Gu Yu's voice was low as he said to his mother: "The weight loss is just temporary, now that you've woken up, eat well, exercise well, and you'll gain it back."
"What about your dad then, why hasn't he woken up??" Gu Yu's mother sniffled, her voice buzzing as she asked.
"Um..." Gu Yu hesitated, then shook his head: "I don't know. But now that you're awake, it probably won't be long before my dad wakes up too."
