Colonel André Ramzi looked puzzled. He couldn't fathom why, with many temporary warehouses destroyed and the front lines in dire need of ammunition, the Duchy would allocate precious transportation capacity to urgently deliver oats and delousing powder... it made no sense at all.
"Colonel, it makes perfect sense."
Pasiphael had an expression of unsurprised understanding. With experience assisting the Duchy Army in managing logistics, he found the allocation of these supplies far more reasonable than artillery and weapons.
"If you spent a month in the trenches, and a shake of your body sent fleas and bedbugs scattering, covering you with the stench of a hospital sewer, while surrounded by typhoid patients, you'd be desperate for delousing powder too. As for feed and horseshoes, those are meant for the horses undertaking various tasks."
