Assistant Danny listened to Phoebe agree, and silently breathed a sigh of relief in his heart.
Their boss, Mr. Bennett, had always been unruly and self-indulgent. Danny was genuinely worried that Phoebe might actually refuse to attend the design competition in Hong Kong.
"Alright, I'll notify them right away. … Oh, by the way, we have a meeting scheduled with a client in an hour. You can take a short break now." Assistant Danny reached out and grabbed the glass of red wine just as Phoebe was about to pick it up. "Dr. Parker advised that, given your condition, it's better to drink less."
Phoebe shrugged lightly, a self-mocking smile tugging at his lips.
Once upon a time, when he wanted to drink, no one dared to stop him.
But… this feeling of being cared for, it wasn't too bad.
Watching Danny place the wine glass aside, Phoebe turned his face to look at him.
"Danny, do you think… I'm a good person?"
