Regarding Yan Fei smashing someone's car on the road, once Director Pi heard the full story, he let it go.
In fact, Director Pi considered himself pretty understanding of Yan Fei. Although Yan Fei sometimes acted recklessly, he definitely didn't do so without reason. Otherwise, Director Pi wouldn't keep in touch with him.
