He succeed, but costing his whole chakra reserve, since compare to lightning chakra which was easier to learn to convert within 10 seconds, faster than wind chakra which took 1 minute, water took whole 5 minutes.

'I just wonder, whether it was common sense to learn wind jutsu to augment their fire or water jutsu or it is a Uchiha clan thing?'
From scrolls he found, majority of them were fire and wind jutsu and S rank jutsu available was also either fire or wind jutsu.
Most surprising thing he found is lack of earth jutsu scrolls, were highest he found were B rank, despite water jutsu weakness to earth jutsu.
'Either they look down on earth jutsu or Uchiha clan member ability to use earth chakra is horredous.'
Either way, he is no intention of learning them as he can use Susanoo and Lightning Release: Chakra mode for defence in the future and he does not recalled any water jutsu that can extinguish Amaterasu, so he already covered up elemental weakness.

"Yes, I think he says ...Fire Relesse and Wind Release and he mentioned it be C rank jutsu and other stuff."
"Correct but you know what exactly are they?"
"Not really." scratching his head, Naruto vaguely heard about 5 release, but thats about it.
"What he used yesterday was elemental based jutsu, which uses one of five elemental chakra nature."
"Those kind of jutsu are used primarily by shinobi in combat."
"So in order to use it, we must train how to convert normal chakra into one of those elemental chakra."
"And fastest way to learn is to know which chakra nature you have affinity with."
"Paper in your hand lets you determine, and since it split into two, it means you have easier time to use wind jutsu."

Kakashi pointed to the three:"Each of you climbed by just using your foot."
"So how we will do it?" Naruto wondered why they just not climb normally.
"Try to apply chakra in your feet and use it as a medium to climb which is not exactly easy for you since you need to know how much chalra need to apply without damaging either yourself or the tree."

"Then get up and climb again"
Naruto groaned by the thought of it while other two nod.
"Ah Naruto, you have no problems using Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu right?"
"Yeah, but for what?".
"Use it and make your clones do the same as well, as for example by training alongside one shadow clone for one hour, you will have two hours' worth of training experience once the shadow clone disperses when your clones disappear, any information like pain or body and mind will remember knowledge of how to climb easier."
"Since you can summon more than 50, one hour training with your clones is same as training for 50 hours after clone disappear."
Naruto was happy he don't have to do boring exercise while Sakura felt it was an unfair advantage.
Sasuke was looked at her and smirked:
'Don't feel bad, you are going to finish this faster than us anyway thanks to your superior chakra control.'
