Even if she worked hard to train her chakra control there was only so much she could improve.
At least that was how it was supposed to be until her Senpai came.
Shizune was surprised to find out that, not only was her Senpai a genius but he was also good at teaching. Even her sensei learned many things from him.
Shizune became Itsuki's fangirl and every time Itsuki did something extraordinary although she would be surprised she still felt that it was completely normal.
Her Senpai even helped her train her chakra control and Taijutsu, she felt she would get stronger each time she trained with her Senpai.
After putting her through rigorous training , which she was more than willing to partake in without any complaints, her Senpai would rejuvenate her body with his chakra which felt so comfortable.
She felt it was so miraculous and if she hadn't experienced it herself she wouldn't have believed it. To think that someone's chakra could have so much life force, and be supercharged with vitality.
Whenever her Senpai circulated his chakra through her body, it felt like a gentle and nourishing force was coursing through her body, making all her pain and fatigue go away making her feel as if she were sleeping on clouds.
Shizune was excited by the feeling of getting stronger and she loved spending time with her Senpai.
At first, she thought she was hiding her crush very well and nobody should have noticed it but she was embarrassed to find out how wrong she was.
To think that both her Senpai and Sensei knew about it made her feel so embarrassed, reflecting back on her behaviour Shizune felt a sense of shame.
But since he knew about it it also caused a sense of excitement and happiness to well up inside of her, Shizune tried her best to gather courage and confess her feelings ..... but she was shot down.
But she was not depressed on the contrary she was a bit happy and annoyed, her Senpai told her to wait a bit longer. He didn't want her to make a decision on the spur of the moment and come to regret it.
Right now what she was feeling might just be a crush that might fade away, her Senpai told her that he had many wives and that being with him was unfair to her so he wanted her to be sure before making that decision.
'Hmph'
She just felt that her Senpai was being too careful, and it was not like she didn't catch him stealing looks from her which made her happy as she always felt she was luck luster compared to Tsunade who was gorgeous in any aspect.

Shizune couldn't be blamed as Shizune herself was a very beautiful woman but maybe being near Tsunade she felt that she wasn't good enough.
Although she may not have Tsunade's exaggerated figure she still had a voluptuous figure but maybe being near Tsunade hampered her self-confidence a lot.
But if Itsuki knew about this then he would only say that Shizune was thinking too much. In his eyes, Shizune was no less attractive than any other woman as she had her own charm. He quite liked his cute and silly Kohai and the reason he rejected her confession was because he felt she wasn't mature enough, even though he was just 2 years older than Shizune he still felt he was far more mature than her.
He didn't want Shizune to regret her decision, he felt like she was making a hasty decision. The matter of feelings was a tricky and sensitive one, and he didn't want to ruin his relationship with Shizune because as much as Shizune liked him he couldn't give his feelings to her alone.
Even though in his position having multiple wives and concubines was completely normal he still wanted the best for Shizune.
Itsuki liked Shizune very much he would be more than happy to have her as his wife but he also wanted Shizune to make sure of her feelings.
Maybe maturity was just an excuse as people in this world were far more mature due to the existence of Chakra.
Even 1-year-old kids felt like 3-year-olds, Neji Hyuga who was just 1 year old was perfectly capable in speech and he was also learning the basics of Taijutsu from his father.
So maybe his excuse was also understood by Shizune and lucky for him Shizune was a very understanding and gentle girl she accepted his words. Anyway, he didn't deny her feelings he just didn't accept them for the time being.
But even if she understood she still tried to tempt him every moment. Luckily Itsuki wasn't a lustful person otherwise he would have already fallen for her trap...

Shizune was a bit annoyed that her Senpai thought of her as some little girl who didn't understand her own feelings. She was already past the age when some clan children got married and had children.
But she still had fun teasing her Senpai, she wanted to know how long her Senpai could still keep believing she was a kid.
Shizune may not have a rack as huge as Tsunade but she still had a hefty pair which she made sure to let her Senpai know whether visually or physically.
Shizune knew she had a nice and plump rear and she made good use of it by showcasing it in a way that Itsuki was also aware of it.
Maybe what she was doing was a bit unethical but since it was Itsuki she didn't mind.
If somebody else was looking she would have been disgusted but if it was Itsuki then she was fine with it ....
