"This brat…"
Noticing something was wrong with Naruto, and seeing a dark red aura rising from his body, Tsunade's expression changed. She cursed out loud:
"Jiraiya, look at what you've done!!!"
Could their luck really be this bad?
Jiraiya was stunned.
Was Naruto using the Nine-Tails' chakra?
Did something go wrong with the seal?
Naruto was now completely covered in the Nine-Tails' chakra, even his eyes were turning red.
But he was still forming seals, still continuing with the summoning jutsu.
That was an insane amount of chakra—was he planning to go all out in one go?
At this point, Jiraiya didn't know whether he should stop him.
He was already regretting it. Why did he bring Sasuke into this just to push Naruto?
There were so many ways to push Naruto, why did he have to choose the dumbest one?
Luckily, even though Naruto was using a huge amount of the Tailed Beast's chakra, he wasn't showing signs of losing control.
He successfully completed the hand seals, and then…
*Boom!!!*
A cloud of smoke filled the air, and a giant figure appeared in the training ground.
"???"
With a pipe in his mouth and a towel draped over his back, Gamabunta looked completely confused.
Wasn't I just sunbathing at Mount Myoboku?
Where is this?
Phew… that was close.
Seeing Gamabunta, Jiraiya let out a sigh of relief.
Naruto had used up a huge amount of chakra, both his own and the Nine-Tails', and somehow managed to summon Gamabunta.
If it had been any other toad, Jiraiya might have been a little worried.
But Gamabunta?
He was an old friend, a summon passed down for generations. Even if he was angry, he wouldn't actually do anything to Naruto.
At most, he'd just scare him a little.
"I… did it?"
Maybe because the Nine-Tails' chakra had been drained, Naruto felt a little more clear-headed.
He stared blankly at the giant figure in front of him.
Wait, no… the giant toad in front of him.
What the heck?!
Sasuke looked completely stunned.
Aoda, who was coiled up beside Sasuke, instinctively moved back a little.
The toads of Mount Myoboku and the snakes of Ryuchi Cave didn't get along very well.
What if this big toad decided to stomp on him?
"I did it, Jiraiya! Sasuke! Look, I did it! It's huge!!"
Naruto was overjoyed by this unexpected success, jumping up and down excitedly while pointing at Gamabunta.
"Hey, brat, you're the one who brought me here?"
One moment, he had been enjoying the sun, and the next, he was suddenly in Konohagakure.
Gamabunta wasn't in the best mood.
But Naruto was Minato's son, so he wouldn't actually do anything to him.
At most, he'd just give him a little scare—exactly like Jiraiya had guessed.
"You summoned it, sure… but can you control it?"
Even though Sasuke was still shocked, he quickly poured cold water on Naruto's excitement.
Yan had forced Manda into submission, making him obey.
But Gamabunta?
That giant toad wasn't going to listen to Naruto.
At least not now, because Naruto wasn't strong enough to command him yet.
The toads of Mount Myoboku were proud creatures.
If you were weak, they wouldn't even bother paying attention to you.
Let alone follow your orders and fight alongside you.
"Uh…"
Yeah, that might be a problem.
Naruto looked up at Gamabunta, whose huge eyes were locked onto him with clear annoyance.
He gave an awkward laugh.
"Um… hi, big toad."
"..."
Jiraiya sighed and covered his face with his hand.
There he goes again…
Fine, fine. Just play along a little, alright?
At this point, Jiraiya could only give Gamabunta a look, silently asking him to cooperate.
I can't with this kid…
Gamabunta let out a long sigh.
"Sasuke, this means I win, right?"
Seeing that Gamabunta wasn't saying anything, Naruto's confidence shot right back up.
He put his hands on his hips, looking smug as he challenged Sasuke.
So what if I'm slow at making hand seals?
I just summoned this huge toad! Can you do that?
Heh, the competition is about summoning creatures, right? With such a powerful toad, it's obvious I win!
What a cocky guy.
Sasuke really wanted to punch Naruto.
If he wasn't holding himself back, he would've summoned Manda right then and there.
Since Sasuke didn't want to act recklessly, he looked to Yan for help.
Yan shrugged, signaling Sasuke to do whatever he wanted.
Worst case? Gamabunta and Manda would just end up fighting. No big deal.
"Hmph."
Sasuke snorted at Naruto and then turned to Aoda.
"Aoda, you can go back and rest now."
"Understood, Lord Sasuke."
Aoda glanced at Gamabunta nervously before obediently returning to Ryuchi Cave.
Once Aoda left, Sasuke performed the summoning jutsu again.
If you can do it, why can't I?
Orochimaru smirked. Watching these two brats go at it was actually pretty entertaining.
Yan tilted his head and asked with a grin, "Do you think Manda will fight Gamabunta the moment he appears?"
"Probably…?"
Orochimaru wasn't too sure either. Manda had a short temper and could be downright vicious when he was in a bad mood.
Besides, Gamabunta was an old rival. If old enemies met, it wouldn't be surprising if a fight broke out.
"But what's so special about this brat?"
Yan clearly valued Sasuke—Orochimaru could see that.
At the same time, he also valued Naruto.
Otherwise, with Yan's personality, he wouldn't have tolerated Naruto messing around.
Sasuke's talent made sense. But what about Naruto?
Orochimaru was starting to feel drawn to the mystery. He loved unraveling secrets, and this one was too tempting to ignore.
"You'll find out in time."
Yan gave a vague answer and focused on watching the scene unfold.
Orochimaru chuckled and didn't press further. He was confident that, sooner or later, all these hidden secrets would reveal themselves to him.
How boring.
Gamabunta held back a bit just to play along with Naruto, only watching as Naruto taunted Sasuke.
But when Sasuke refused to back down and started summoning again, Gamabunta felt like cursing.
Are you two little punks done yet?!
"Ugh!!!"
With a puff of smoke, an aura that made Gamabunta extremely uncomfortable filled the air.
A massive figure, even larger than Gamabunta, appeared in the training field.
Gamabunta was already the size of a small mountain.
But now, looking at the newly summoned Manda, Shizune and Izumi exchanged silent glances.
Are kids these days always this ridiculous?
You're both so young, yet you're already messing around with summons of this level?
"ROAR!!!"
Manda let out a deafening roar the moment he appeared—
But as he roared, he caught sight of Yan standing near Orochimaru.
Instantly, his tone weakened.
"Manda?!"
Gamabunta never expected Sasuke to summon Manda.
"What the hell is going on…"
Tsunade rubbed her forehead in frustration.
These two brats were getting more and more out of hand, and worst of all, Orochimaru and Jiraiya were letting them run wild.
Summoning Gamabunta was one thing…
But Manda? You don't just mess around with Manda!
"What the heck!!"
Naruto was dumbfounded.
He'd worked so hard to summon a giant toad—
And then Sasuke just casually summoned a snake even bigger than his toad.
