The bullet grazed Bu Wei's arm and lodged into the bedding.
Bu Wei, holding the child, fell heavily to the ground, and Ningning was already crying out of fear, her small hands clutching at his clothes as she sobbed loudly. As Bu Wei stood up, he reached under the edge of the bed and pulled out a gun.
Then he quickly loaded the chamber and stood up.
Sheng Miao was at a disadvantage and wasn't as quick on the draw; by the time she raised her hand again, the gun in Bu Wei's hands was already pointed at her.
"Have you lost your mind?" Bu Wei's eyes were bloodshot as he held Ningning tightly, staring intently at the woman in front of him, "Have you no humanity left? This is your daughter too!"
"Bu Wei," Sheng Miao said with an icy glare, "I never intended to kill you. Just leave the child and you can go."
