Chapter 18 - The Zoraiz Family

Far away from Prodigy Academy, Harun was sliding with a metal skateboard on a snow mountain, coming down from the peak of that ice-covered mountain. He was wearing a simple blue jacket with a fluffy white hood. His pants were blue as well. His dark blue robe was flying behind him like a cape. Even from up there, he could see a big palace-like thing covered in white snow and a big wall around it. Suddenly, his board disappeared and he jumped forward, metal started covering his feet. He landed on the snow in front of a big gate. It was covered in snow and everything around it was covered in snow as well.

"Open the door," Harun looked up and ordered a guard who was standing at the gate, covered with baggy clothes. More than 20 people were standing on the gate, wearing the same outfit, only 10 feet away from each other. The mountain-high gate started opening slowly, showcasing a trail of huts made out of wood. House of Inventum was also called the House of Decorators, because of its beautiful huts and shops. It was the most beautiful House out of all.

Harun walked in as the door was opening, he walked through the crowd. Hundreds of people were wandering around. Everyone wearing white or blue coats, Harun walked through the crowd with his head hidden in the hood. He was the son of Rabeel Zoraiz, the Sultan of House Inventum, if anyone had seen him it would have made a big scene. He stopped in front of the palace, it was even more humongous than the gate.

Four pillars around a big round globe, and it was protected by another wall around it. The wall had no door or gate or any other means of getting in. The only way was jumping over a 50-foot-high wall or flying over it. Harun looked up and opened both his hands. A silver metal started coming out from both of his hands and slowly it took the shape of long knives in his both hands. The knives had a chain attached. Harun hurled both knives towards the top of the wall. He had enough strength in his hands that he threw two heavy knives 50 feet up in the sky along with the chain that was embedded in those knives' hilts. The chain stretched as the knives flew up, knives took their place in the wall.

Harun had the other side of both chains in his hand. He pulled the chain back, the chains started vanishing in the palm of his hand like they were going directly into his body. Harun started going up swiftly as the chain became shorter and shorter. When it was only 5 or more feet away he jumped using the chain's momentum to throw his body on the other side of the wall, he started to fall with the chain getting longer and longer as he came down. Just before he hit the ground the chain stopped stretching and Harun flipped over, both chains and knives disappeared.

He now stood in a garden, there was no snow falling in the palace. The garden had green grass and every kind of flower and plant. "Son," A man was standing at the end of the garden, wearing a long red coat and a golden crown with rubies embedded in it. He was Rabeel Zoraiz, Harun moved forward and hugged his father with a smile.

"Son, I sense sadness in your heart." The King said with a worried tone. "What might be the reason?" Harun clicked his tongue, "It's something that doesn't concern you." He seemed somewhat serious and angry.

King shrugged, "Son, you know there's nothing I can do in that matter." King turned around and walked near a throne-like chair and sat on it with his right leg on his left. "Is that the reason you came here?" King asked, his aura had changed now he wasn't giving off a father-like aura now it seemed oppressive and dark. "He is my sister's son, no matter what you or any other say. I will make him your equal and he will sit on your throne. And when you are dead I will have that authority, I don't pray for your death. I hope we can find a better way." Harun said with regret in his tone. "You don't understand, you are a noble, and nobles don't get themselves involved with such trivial matters. I would've allowed you to meddle in if he was a commoner, but he is a bastard. He is nothing but a dark spot on House Inventum and my rule. Our name was rendered through the mud by my daughter, her death gave us a small amount of honor back but if we take that bastard in, we will lose our power in the court as well as among nobles, we might even be banished and thrown out from our own House. I don't know what you have in mind but, becoming a commoner is something I would like to avoid." King answered logically, and his face was as emotionless as it could be.

"How is it his fault?" Harun asked as he raised his head and looked King Zoraiz right in the eyes. "Why was he thrown on a mountain when he was only three? Why is he hated by everyone? Just give me one reason. Is it just because he was born? Are we punishing him just for existing? His mother was the one who did it all, he had nothing to do with anything. So, tell me why I shouldn't just go and get him here right now?"

King Zoraiz's aura became even more intense, the throne he was sitting on was made out of solid rocks. He clenched his fist crushed one side of the throne, and stood up aggressively. "You dare question my word." His words carried weight behind them. Harun had this argument with his father from time to time and it always ended with Harun bowing his head down. But, this time even when his father seemed to be aggressive, he didn't bow his head down. He looked him in the eyes, as if ready to fight. "I challenge you," Harun said with determination, "To fight me, if I win you will agree to my demands and if it's you who is left standing I will do as you ask for my entire life."

Rabeel Zoraiz, King of House Inventum and known as the Shield of Quwahar, smiled at his son's challenge. "I accept."
