 ( Chapter 4 )

After reading the strange texts on their phones, they returned to the auditorium, curious about what would happen next. Suddenly, the lights dimmed, and a hooded figure appeared on stage, their face hidden behind a mask. The air was electric with anticipation as the figure began to speak in a low, mysterious tone...

"The curtains haven't closed yet, and the real show is about to begin. Welcome to the Phoenix Initiative, where the true talents of K.I.S.S. will be revealed."

The figure revealed a large screen behind them, displaying a cryptic message: "Solve the Labyrinth of Reflections to unlock the secrets within." The students exchanged curious glances, wondering what this new challenge entailed.

 Favyy's point of view:

My curiosity is piqued, and I feel an eerie connection to the mysterious figure's words. I decide to gather my closest friends, Dora and Kylie, to discuss the Phoenix Initiative and the Labyrinth of Reflections. As we huddle in the school courtyard, I share my thoughts: "Guys, I have a feeling this is more than just a competition. The figure mentioned 'secrets within'... I think it's connected to the strange messages we received earlier."

Dora nods, "And the talent show was just a warm-up. This is the real deal." Kylie adds, "But what's with the labyrinth? It sounds like a mythological puzzle." Dora suggests, "Maybe it's a metaphor for self-discovery? We need to reflect on our strengths and weaknesses to succeed." My mind races with possibilities. "Let's investigate further. We need to uncover the truth behind the Phoenix Initiative and the labyrinth."

We decide to start by researching the school's history, searching for any connections to the Phoenix Initiative or the mysterious figure. As we begin our investigation, we stumble upon an old school archive room, hidden away in the library. The room is dusty, with cobwebs covering ancient trophies and forgotten memories. While exploring the room, we find an old book bound in a strange, scaly material that feels eerie to the touch. The cover reads "The Labyrinthine Odyssey" in faded gold letters.

As we open the book, we find yellowed pages filled with cryptic poems, riddles, and illustrations of winding paths and symbolic creatures. One poem catches our attention: "Through reflections, find the way / To the heart of the labyrinth's sway / Where shadows dance and secrets sleep / The phoenix's truth, only the brave shall keep"

We realize that this book might hold the key to understanding the Phoenix Initiative and the Labyrinth of Reflections. We decide to study the book further, hoping to uncover clues that will lead us to the labyrinth's entrance. As we delve deeper into the book, we start to notice strange symbols etched into the margins. They seem to be a code, but what do they mean?

Suddenly, a statue emerges, glowing, and the ground trembles. We step back as the phoenix statue splits open, revealing a hidden entrance. I take a deep breath and step forward, leading my friends into the unknown. As we descend into the labyrinth, the statue closes behind us, and the glow fades. We find ourselves at the entrance of the stage where the unknown person is. And that person was none other than Jessica, the president. She announces us as the winners and rewards us.

Later, we realize that the labyrinth is a test of our courage, wit, and friendship. Finally, everyone leaves the auditorium to head home.

At home, I share every detail of the event with my mom. She smiles and says "Ozi Jesu" (meaning "Jesus baby" in our dialect), and I smile back.

After dinner, I retreat to my room and lie on the bed when my phone starts ringing. It's Alex. I hesitate but decide to answer.

"Heyyy," he says.

"Hi," I reply.

"How are you?" he asks.

"Good as usual," I respond.

"That's good, Favyy. I called to check up on you and compliment you on your voice; it was superb," he says.

Thanks, Alex," I reply, trying to sound uninterested.

He chuckles and says, "Well, I'll take that as a yes to our friendship."

I roll my eyes and say, "Whatever."

He asks about school and mentions the upcoming camp. I reply, "Yes, it's next weekend."

He says, "Good night, Favyy."

I respond, "Good night," and end the call. I hiss in frustration, saying in our dialect, "Meyi semi dor him" (meaning "I don't know why he called").

The next day, at school, every student is heading to their various classes.

Mr. Roy, the vice principal, entered the class with the teacher to appreciate the students for their efforts during the talent show. "Good morning, class. I hope you're all doing well. I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you all on a fantastic talent show. Your performances were outstanding, and it was great to see your talents shine. Keep up the good work!"

He paused, looking around the room. "Also, don't forget that our annual school camp is coming up next weekend. It's going to be a fun and exciting experience, and I encourage all of you to participate. You'll have the chance to bond with your classmates, try new activities, and make unforgettable memories. So, let's make sure to get our permissions and packing lists ready!"

The students nodded, looking forward to the adventure ahead. Favyy, Dora, and Kylie exchanged excited glances, already planning their camping trip.

With that, Mr. Roy handed over the class to the teacher and left, leaving the students to their lesson. But Favyy's mind was already wandering, thinking about the camp and what surprises it might bring...

As the lesson progressed, Favyy found it hard to focus. Her mind kept wandering back to the camp and the possibilities it held. She imagined herself and her friends hiking through the woods, sharing stories around the campfire, and making new friends.

After class, Favyy, Dora, and Kylie gathered in the courtyard, excitedly discussing their plans for the camp. "I can't wait to try rock climbing!" Dora said, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.

"And I'm looking forward to the campus show," Kylie added.

Favyy grinned, feeling a sense of excitement and belonging. "This is going to be the best camp ever!"

Just then, Alex and his friends passed by waving to them while Bryan winked at Kylie. Making her to have goosebumps

Umm, what's wrong Kylie? Dora asked. I think I have a crush on someone. Who favyy questioned. Bryann. Whattttt😱 they both exclaimed...
