The witching hour draws near and here I still sit at my desk, bent over a considerable number of papers and surrounded by... Even bigger heaps of papers. I am surprised my desk hasn't yet collapsed due to the sheer weight of them.
Meeting agendas, financial statements, more contracts and more agreements. More ink on paper… Although to be fair, I am glad I took the initiative to print all of the documents, staring at a computer screen for hours on end, on a daily basis had started to take a toll on my sight. I suppose I should have my shifter genes to thank for not being completely blind yet.
The closest board meeting has been scheduled for next month which I have to attend in person. Hopefully, the trial affair will be shut and sealed by then.
Who was it that chose a hierarchical decision-making structure again? My dear paternal grandmother… Then again, it shouldn't be surprising, considering the social scale my people have to abide by.
