After visiting his sister and spending a long hour comforting her and Han Leixin, the Grandmaster was unexpectedly invited to Chi Yulan and her husband's chambers. Not exactly the duo he could tolerate in the same room, but for friendship's sake, he accepted their invite.
Now gathered in the middle of the Grandmistress's chambers, seated around a small low-rise table, the Grandmasterfolded his arms across his chest. The table was also laden with bowls of fruit and tea but he didn't partake in any of it because Chi Cheng had already fed him well.
"What did you call me here for?" Han Xuelian enquired, sitting across from Feng Renxing and his wife. "I assume you have an explanation for that demon attack yesterday, Lord Feng Renxing?"
The Imperial Court Enforcer had no intention of speaking in riddles this time. It dawned on him just how serious and out of control the matter with the Shadow Realm was growing and it was due time that Han Xuelian was included in some of his plans.
