I was completely caught off guard when I heard him suddenly say this to me. He didn't even wait until we went to a different place, he just said this right to me in the middle of the hall with everyone around.

My grandfather said in a tone of voice that was completely different from the one that he used before.
This time, he wasn't speaking as a grandfather who doted on his grandson.
This time, he was speaking as the head of this organization.
I knitted my brows upon hearing this, but there wasn't anything else that I could say in response to this.
