Chapter 114 - Lord of Chaos

Despite the Alpha-I having been cleaned from the coast, it still caused some damage to the Soviets' weapons. Since the enhancement is no longer effective, the damage and fire intensity have dropped rapidly for those who are having contact with fire.

So, the commander decided to have a swap in troops, not only for those who have fought for hours to replace their weapon back to those enhanced ones, but also for them to have some rest.

Another round of artillery strikes, this time, it was done by the 152 and 203mm heavy artillery, to cover a brief interruption of fire during the shift change.

Two BTRs carrying soldiers and a few trucks carrying ammunition came from the first line.

"Comrade, thanks for your hard work. We will take care of it."

"For the motherland," Ivan replied officially.

Soon, Ivan's platoon boarded their BTRs and returned to the line for rest.

"Oh God, you guys have finally come. I thought I would fight here until the last moment of my eyes. I just want to sleep." Grisha, by the time he sees friendly forces who have come over to take their position, starts to complain again.

And the moment he steps into the BTR, he starts sleeping; he is not the only one, but many others as well. The high-intensity battles not only drained their physical strength but also their spirits, despite the battles not even lasting for 12 hours.

For the next three days, the battle continues. Every day, the pressure from the chaos increases rapidly, even though they have still not managed to break through the outpost. One could say that the commander does not think it is time to give up yet.

Under the joint operation between the Air and Ground forces, it is hard for chaos to break through. No matter how strong or how many of their new variety of creatures have joined the battle, they are not strong enough to defend themselves from the Soviet artillery and FAB bombs.

Another few days later, which can be said to be one week after the chaos attack, the attack stopped. The battlefield returns to silence, if not because of the minced meat and remains from the chaos creature, there is no difference from before.

The cost for the Red Army to achieve these was just casualties that were below a thousand, and most of it was caused by friendly fire. Of course, don't expect a creature-wave could work in front of a modern army and their fortification.

Just as the Soviet command was confused about the situation, where the elves had no idea what was happening now, further in the west, deep in the sea of chaos.

Three streams of chaotic energy fell from different directions onto a ruined palace. Even though it is so dilapidated now, it can still be aware of its former grandeur and glory.

"Now I see where the strong energy has come from; our opponent has changed."

The voice came from one of the streams, and it is now forming a towering humanoid figure clad in brutal brass armour. The figurehead is a massive skull, crowned with horns. He is the Blood God, Khorne.

"It is not a matter, most importantly, the strong energy created by them has revived us, rebuilding our bodies. It has been some time."

Another chaos stream speaks and forms a humanoid Bird. If you pay attention to his head, the number of eyes and mouths is not only one, and they are increasing.

His body flickers like liquid fire, ever-rearranging itself into labyrinthine patterns.

Colours shift and blend like an oil slick: vivid blues, purples, and gold.

His voice is layered and contradictory, sounding like a thousand whispers and a thunderclap at once.

He is Tzeentch, the Lord of Miracles.

"I am more excited for what is going to happen now, the return of the great and glorious Lord."

The last stream dropped and formed a colossal, bloated humanoid, grotesquely obese, with its body split open in many places.

Innards and intestines spill freely, but he remains jovial and smiling.

His skin is greenish, rotted, and covered in boils and sores.

Surrounded by flies, rot, and disease, every breath is a cloud of pestilence.

He is Nurgle, the Plague Father.

Three of them are gods of chaos.

And in front of them is a beating heart locked by countless huge chains. However, by now, thick chaotic energy swirled around it, and the heart beat faster and faster.

Until a huge energy explosion occurred, a dense stream of chaos had become a vacuum from the sky's perspective.

In the view of the three gods now, the heart was entirely covered by a thick stream of chaos; however, they felt something. The Lord of Chaos has returned, the god of all chaos gods has returned and led them to spread the chaos to the world.

Three of them immediately knelt on one knee,

"Welcome back, the God of all gods!"

Heavy footsteps came from the chaotic stream.

A knight without a helmet walks out, long silver hair and armour, and his resolute and cold face.

He looks at three of them with his eyes, and closes to feel the smell of the world, and finds out something.

"There is something in this world now, where it shouldn't have existed; there is a huge amount of them."

"Where is Slannesh?" He turned and asked about three of them.

"She has entered the opponent that shouldn't exist for reconnaissance, and will arrive soon," Tzeentch answered.

As soon as he finished speaking, another black stream flew over and landed beside the Lord of Chaos.

A slender woman with graceful curves and long, clawed hands appear and lies on the lord of chaos' chest with one side of her body that is perfectly symmetrical, angelic, even divine in beauty.

The other side, twisted and perverse — clawed feet, tentacles, or mutated limbs reflecting carnal corruption.

Has a perfect chorus of whispers that entrances both mortals and daemons.

Wears opulent, revealing garments or shimmering, translucent silks that seem alive, constantly flowing and shifting.

She is the Prince of Pleasure, Slaanesh.

So far, the 4 strongest gods of chaos have assembled.

"My lord, I miss you so much. How much did you miss me?"

Lord of Chaos without a trace of emotion, he still said coldly.

"Tell me what you know."
