In a dimly lit bedroom where the curtains had been put up to block out the lights, a low vibrating sound echoed through the room, followed by a well-known anime theme song that began playing out of the phone's speaker, waking the only occupant of the room.
Jason's eyes shot open in confusion at the sudden noise, but two seconds later, clarity returned to his eyes, and he realized that his phone was ringing.
Wondering who might be calling him, he slowly reached out to grab his phone.
Grabbing it and glancing at the caller ID, he realized it was his favorite person and didn't hesitate to put the phone to his ear.
"Hey," Jason muttered into the speaker, a smile voluntarily breaking out on his face.
*"Come pick me up,"* Adele's voice replied into his ear, her voice a bit low as well.
"Huh? Now?" Jason asked, surprised.
