My hands shook as I weighed the options. On one hand, George promised to explain everything at the Bonfire, on the other hand…

Charlotte had just confessed that everything was a lie. George had been stringing me along the entire time with no plans of setting me free. 

He only cared about power and the Kingdom. He used me as a placeholder and wanted to silence me to keep his secret. 

My chest tightened as I recalled the premonition. Blood was on my hands and I raced through the woods, desperate to see George. Only to meet my death at the Bonfire. 

I shook my head, tears falling into my hands. I had to avoid my fate. If the premonition was true — Charlotte was not telling lies. 

I stumbled, my heart aching, twisting in my chest as I struggled to breathe. 

George lied to me. 

My fists tightened. Charlotte wanted to kill George, but George was fine — I saw him in the premonition at the bonfire. 

Which could only mean one thing — Danielle was the one I had to save.
