Chapter 267 - Chapter 267: Recovery

"Let her go," I scream, but he doesn't listen. I let the items in my hand fall to the ground and rush at Elias, trying my best to pry Iris from his grip."

But my effort is wasted. Elias pulls my grip away and pushes me back so I slam into the bed behind me. Pain explodes behind me, but I pay it no mind. Groaning, I try to get up, but my body fails me.

Looking up, I see Iris, still fighting back, still clinging to life. But she won't be able to hold out much longer. I have...I have to do something.

Frantically running every possible solution through my head, I find myself reaching a dead end each and every time. I'm too weak, I can't fight back even if I wanted to try.

No, this can't end like this. I have to save her.

I freeze when I remember Doma's message to me. Kysilius told me that if I needed to enter a wolf's head without first gaining their trust, then the backlash to my body would be dangerous.
