Ten days later…
The carriage carrying Leon and Elina had been on the road for over ten days.
Their journey had been neither particularly fast nor slow—just a steady, average pace.
The intercity roads weren't all smooth. There were climbs, dips, and rough patches that required careful navigation.
They also made several stops in various cities to rest and recover before continuing the next day.
Of greater concern, however, were the mountain bandits—criminals who lived in the mountains and often targeted travelers between cities.
Usually, the coachman would bring along two soldiers or hire strong men for protection.
But with Leon present, the bandits stood no chance.
He defeated them effortlessly, teaching them a lesson so harsh that even their closest companions no longer recognized their faces.
"Sir and Miss, our next stop is the city of Lysoria, which will also be our final destination," the coachman called from the front.
"Oh! So we're almost there?"
