"...Dad?"
Leon gulped as he looked at the handsome man. He was tall, with short black hair and a pair of black eyes hidden behind thin glasses.
A gentle smile played on the man's lips as his gaze landed on his wife and child, who were sitting at the dining table.
"I'm sorry I'm late. I had some business to take care of," he said, stepping closer to them.
As the man walked past, Leon's expression turned complicated—a mix of sadness and confusion. That man was Isen Orion, his father and the head of the Orion family.
He was a kind and caring person, yet Leon had very few memories with him. It felt as if he were looking at a stranger.
"Father!" The boy exclaimed cheerfully, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Heh, my beloved son! Did you miss me?" The man asked with a warm laugh, lifting the little one into his arms.
"Um! I missed you so much!" the boy replied enthusiastically, planting a kiss on his father's cheek.
