Meanwhile, Shion and Kasumi who have already prepared to make their own move are only standing rooted on the spot as they looked at the Beedrill with a kunai stabbed right on its forehead before they are looking at Homura like a housewive who is working in the kitchen looking at a thieving cat that have just stolen one of the fish that she is about to cook.
Homura: ....
She keeps getting silent awkwardly as she is receiving a stare..., or maybe we could called it a glare from my and Kotonoha's starter Pokémon.
"I am sorry.... My bad...." Homura said while she is awkwardly scratching her head.
"I reflexively killed it when I see that is is about to run away. It is already becoming my habit to stab any enemies who tried to turn their backs on me to run away from the fight." She explained even more to ease the awkwardness in the air around them.
"Woo? woo xie xie?" (Oh? Is that so?") Shion make a nod of understanding as she is pounding the ground with one of her forelimbs.
"Ghost, steam steam ghosteam." ("Well, it can't be helped then.") Kasumi rubbed her... chin? as she also make a gesture of understanding towards Homura.
Leaving those three aside though, now I asked the Mareep girl who is currently hiding herself behind a tree as she is looking at us.
"So.... Who are you, really?" As I asked her that question, my hand also moved to take out my Pokédex by reflexes and scanned her with the gadget.
And the Pokédex worked it wonders by giving us its the data that it have collected.
[Mareep, the Wool Moemon, is an Electric type Moemon.]
[Mareep's fluffy coat of wool rubs together and builds up a static charge. The more static electricity is charged, the more brightly the lightbulb at the tip of her tail glows. Her fluffy wool coat can also swells up to double of its original size when the static electricity on it is build up, especially on cold weather when her static electricity build up is increased. Rubbing her wool can also generates electricity. You may want to pet a Mareep's furry coat because she looks so cute on it, but be careful if you use your bare hand, as you will get a painful shock just from touching her charged up wool.]
[As the clothing made from Mareep's fleece is easily charged with static electricity, a special process is used on it to take care of this issue. Mareep's fleece grows continually. In the summer, her woolly coat will be fully shed, but it will soon grows back again in just a single week. Mareep stores lots of air in her soft wool, allowing her to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.]
[This Mareep Moemon have the ability Static, and she knows the move After You (Egg Move), Electric Terrain (Egg Move), Growl, Tail Whip, Tackle, Body Slam, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Cotton Spore, Trailblaze and Wild Charge]
As expected, this Mareep girl is a Human and Pokémon hybrid, also known as a Moemon!
Hmmm.... Now that I think about it, looking at her move pool, I can see how this Mareep Moemon can stay so far ahead in front on her chasing Beedrills despite her chasers being famous for their speed while she herself are (no offense though) running on such a pair of tiny little feet that fits with her small frame.
I can imagine her using the Grass type move Trailblaze that can not only deals damage but also raises its user's speed by one stage.
Imagine her using that kind of move for full running instead of for attacking, it is no wonder that even the Beedrills which are renowned for their speed can't catch up with her.
She also has the Grass type move Cotton Spore that can lowers the Speed of All enemies that are close to her by two stages.
Welp, this Mareep is basically a bane for all those speed type Pokémons.
However, I don't remember that a Mareep can learn the move Tail Whip in the game?
But then again, it is strange if she can't learn it.
Her tail, although it is not too long nor too big, but at least it is still sizeable enough if she is being compared to other Pokémons that do have Tail Whip on their move pool back in the games.
Anyway, this is the first wild Moemon that we have encountered and the second ones that we see after Professor Oak's female Nidoran back in the lab before.
I gotta catch her!
It is not kidnapping, alright? Even though she is part human, but she is still a half Pokémon and the law in this world still counted as one.
Heck, they can even be captured using normal pokeballs, tyat alone is enough proof for everyone here to treat her more like Pokémon than a human beings since they can be captured.
As the franchise motto said, "Gotta catch 'em all!"
If you can catch them, then you should catch them!
😆🍻🤣
There is no need to hesitate anymore!
"Come come here, girl, come out, it is safe now. There are no Bedrills left that are chasing you anymore~" With a sweet, angelic smile plastered on my beautiful face, it is not difficult at all to coax the Mareep girl to comes out from her hiding spot.
He he he he, come, come to me! I will catch you soon!
🤤⚡🐑
Oh, due to my excitement, I forgot to sheath back the sword that I still held in my hand.
...
There, I have cleaned the blood staining my sword with a quick sweep before I returned my blade back to its sheath.
As I am doing so, the Mareep moemon have approached me but she still keep a fair distance between us.
Oh, is she still afraid to me? Well, I can't blame her, she do have seen us killing more than a dozen Beedrills with quick ease, after all.
I would also do the same if I meet with a group of people who can kill wantonly in the middle of nowhere like in this forest that is far out of the civilization.
"Girl, do you have a name? Where do you come from? Don't worry, we won't harm you." I asked her some friendly questions to ease her wariness as the Mareep Moemon is stilk keeping her distance from us.
"Ummm.... I don't have a name. I hatched from my egg in this forest some months ago, but I don't know who my parents are nor where I am coming from...." The Mareep Moemon answered me while she is fidgeting with her fingers cutely.
That left a big, very BIG Question.
If she didn't even know who her parents are, then who is the one who teaches her how to speak in a human language?
"Ooowwwhhh, poor you.... You don't have a parent? Don't you have any other family? We will help escorting you back to them if you wanted to." I try to ease up the Mareep girl who seems to be about to cry when she remembered that she didn't even know who her parents are since she is hatched from her egg in this wild place.
"Uummmm.... Onee-san..., I don't have a parent, I also don't have any other family too.... I am.... I am always alone ever since I hatched...." The Mareep girl is about to burst into tears as her eyes gets even more watery the more words comes out from her mouth.
Okay, let's set aside how she called me "Onee-san" instead of "Onii-san" now, let's try to ask a Big Question that have been bugging my mind since earlier.
And Homura, I see you behave strangely just now.
Did the mention of not having parents nor a family just now somehow have touched your sensitive spot? Your uneasiness is plain to see if you are not someone who have a brain denser than even a neutron star like most of those protagonists from the country of the rising sun.
"Eh, you don't have parents nor any other family? But, if you are always alone, how can you speak in human language? Who teaches you how to do that?" I asked the Mareep Moemon while keeping the issue about Homura back in my mind.
I can always deal with her issue later on, but now I just wanna focus on getting the answer to the mystery in front of me right now!

[ ] Author's Note [ ]
Why do I choose a Sheep Pokémon to be our first Moemon? Well, aside from her being a fluffy cutie once she have evolved to her final form as an Ampharos, a Mareep, Flaafy and Ampharos, being a sheep Pokémon is close enough to my own Chinese Zodiac that is a Sheep or a Goat.🤩⚡🐑
