Chapter 100 - PWA 100 Mareep's Recollection

The hissing sound then go away just like I wished, then the sounds of squeaking can be heard become harder and more frequent before finally there is the sound of fight coming from something that is clashing against another thing.

After some sounds of heavy thud, I can hear that the sounds of the squeaking become weaker and weaker, while the sounds of hissing remaining constant.

Oh no, I think, the sound of hissing is winning.

In the end, the sound of squeaking become the sound of whimpering, and not long after the sound vanished entirely.

The sound of hissing also become silent for the moment.

After some time has passed, my eyes finally getting used to the light around me and my body finally have gathered the strength necessary to move.

I still didn't dare to make any big move, though.

With the last bit of courage I have that is being fueled even more by mtly curiosity, I move little by little to peek the outside world from the gaps between the leaves and branches inside the bush.

And there is it, under and behind the cover of thick foliage, I see a creature that looks like a snake with purple coloration on its scales.

That creatures seems to be asleep and there is an obvious bulge on its body.

Did it just fallen to slumber after it devours the owner of the squeaking sounds from before?

Taking this as my chance, I managed to slip away from the purple snake as it is still sleeping comfortably after taking a meal.

Phew..... And that is just one of the horrors in the wild that I have seen, encountered and even some are almost happened to me.

Fortunately for me, my woolly coat can provide an adequate defense against my attackers.

Not only does it can soak the damage and soften the blows from Tackle, Pound or Slam.

My coat can even be charged with electricity simply by rubbing them together or against something.

I can also absorb the electricity from the air especially on a cold weather in a rainy day.

In fact, my fleeces seems to be absorbing electricity more effectively on cold weather than during the hot ones.

Most of the time, I would flee as fast as possible when my foes are getting paralyzed from being hit by my static when they touched my fur or when one of my electricity attacks managed to strike them.

Some other time, especially when I am facing against something that can pop-up from the ground like a living whack-a-mole or a long grass with blue bulb and two legs, my electricity attacks didn't work as good as they usually do.

Thank Mew that most of them are weak, I can take them down with one or two Body Slam.

They are not as hostile as the others in the wild though, so it is also a good thing in itself as I don't get to fight against them as much as with the others.

But that long grass with blue bulb.... Dayum, their leaves are very delicious, I can't help but wanna eat them whenever I see one popping itself out from the ground on a moonlit night.

After some time passed, I grow up from being a helpless baby to become someone who can survive just fine in this forest.

Growing from the experience of having a lot of fight against the other wild pokemons around here, I learned quite a lot of useful skills to ensure my survival.

When at first I can only rely on the Static from my woolly coat to electrocutes and paralyze anyone who have tried to touch me, or the Electric Terrain that I somehow know from the moment I hatched from the egg to scare out some of the weaker pokemons that things I am about to take out some great, devastating move, whenever I do that.....

As time goes on, I learned how to channel the electricity around me to send out a Thunder Wave that can effectively paralyzes my foes even better than my Static.

I have also learned to give an electro convulsive therapy to my foes with my electricity, with the shock caused by it is great enough to make my enemies flee literally with their tails tucked between their legs, that is, if they can still move after taking my Thunder Shock.

I have also learned from the living grass and other similar plant monsters to let out some of my fleece to imitate their Cotton Spore that can be used to reduce the opponent's speed harshly.

Combined with another move that can be utilized whenever I channeled the same green colored energy that I used to fuel my Cotton Spore, the Trailblaze, I can raise my own speed and then be able to run away quicker than my foe, or attacked them with an even greater speed and frequency than before.

Usually I do the former more often than the latter, though.

No joke, if there exists an enemy that needs me to use two moves consequently just to have an advantage against them, then surely they must be a tough opponent.

I would rather escape from them as fast as possible than fighting them to the very end, because who knows if my opponent also have some tricks up to their paws too?

At least I am not a conceited person(or moemon) who thinks that I am a special existence who can win against everyone in here with just my small skills.

If anything, I am just someone who is lucky enough to live through in this wild place to see another day for every day.

There was a fight that I have witnessed before that makes me learn to never, ever underestimated my enemies.

That happens on a fine day in the forest as usual, I am just strolling in the forest with caution when I heard the hissing sound that have become my nightmare ever since my first day opening my eyes to see this world.

Quickly Trailblazing my way to the nearest bushes, I hide inside there before I took a peek after I ensured that my hiding place is secure.

And there I see the purple snake similar to the one I see back in the day of my birth hissing around as it slithered its way on the forest floor.

It is making its way leisurely towards a mouse Pokémon that have a similar purple colour as the snake.

The mouse Pokémon seems to have been weak and poisoned, looking at its pale complexion and a sickly purple colour that is different than the colour of its fur is spread from on of its wound to its entire body.

That poor mouse must have been having a fight with the snake earlier and it got bitten by the snake's poisonous fangs.

The purple snake make a taunting expression as it watched its prey struggling weakly with a smug expression on its face.

"Kannnsssss Ekansssss~" ("Ursss resssissstanccce isss futilesss")

But as the snake is about to lunge forward to wrap its body around the little mouse to give it a chokehold of the death, the purple mouse that have been cornered by the snake is making a sudden move to turn the table around!

[ ] Author's Note [ ]

Just when I am looking to find a snake Pokémon that may be suitable for Homura, right when I am looking at the Snivy to Serperior evolution line, my Dad found a red tail bamboo snake in my backyard, hiding in one of a flowering pot that he is about to move away. It is a good thing that my Dad didn't get bitten by it. Hospital is so far away from my current house. In the end, we clubbed the snake and while it is still stunned after we hit its head and neck (there is not even a wound or blood on the snake's body), I throw it away to nearby creeks. I still need to clean up the tools I used to take the snake as its venomous saliva are spilled on it. This is the third time we have that kind of snake in our house. The other snakes which have entered my house are the rat snake (one have even climbed up and entered my bedroom from the hole in the roof), pythons (usually they stay in our courtyard as their bodies are too big to sneak in my house), black vipers and cobras (one is being played by the cat that often comes to my house).
