Cecilion could only watch from the corner of the room as Zixuan flitted from one shelf to another, her eyes gleaming with excitement. There was a playful energy to her movements, like a child on a scavenger hunt.
She hummed under her breath as she pulled out book after book, stacking them haphazardly on the table. Casper followed close behind, not nearly as expressive, but clearly just as invested.
Every time she found something intriguing, she'd call him over, and the two of them would lean close, flipping pages and pointing at symbols with wide-eyed fascination.
