Less than an hour later, Chi Jingxuan came back, followed closely by Fu Mingyu and Mo Yichen, all carrying insulated lunch boxes.
Chi Jingxuan raised the upper part of the hospital bed to make Qin Yuji more comfortable, and took out the food from the insulated lunch boxes one by one.
Light white porridge and over a dozen refreshing side dishes, evidently from the private kitchen restaurant Fu Mingyu owned, which were all Qin Yuji's favorites.
"Thank you all..."
Qin Yuji spoke her thanks as Chi Jingxuan took a hot towel and wiped her face and hands.
Leaving the private space of the hospital room to Chi Jingxuan and Qin Yuji, Fu Mingyu and the others said their goodbyes and left, while Qiao Xinran clamored that she would bring soup tomorrow, knowing that Old Madam Chi had prepared some, she said she'd bring the soup and meal the day after tomorrow.
The hospital room quieted down again, Chi Jingxuan and Qin Yuji ate silently facing each other.
