The Heart Class had a system that allowed them to live stably and survive inside the academy.
That was good. That was important.
But when it came to strength? They were severely lacking. Compared to the other classes, their combat abilities were laughable.
And as the Class Representative…
Did she really have to study each and every one of them?
Individually?
Plan their growth processes?
Wasn't that a teacher's job?!
Yuna felt her hair thinning just thinking about it.
What a hassle.
While Yuna was lost in her frustrated thoughts, her classmates were engaged in their own discussion. As carefree as they always were!
"Did you see the Crown Prince's mana control? That was insane!"
"Enyo's blood ability… terrifying, but so cool!"
"Austin's sword energy control… I almost thought he'd cut the combat puppet in half!"
"And the Club Class Rep?! That enhancement ability is actually broken!"
A collective sigh.
A mix of admiration and envy.
They looked toward powerhouses like the Crown Prince, Enyo, Austin, and even the Club Class Rep with longing.
Yuna turned her head away. Acted like she heard nothing. She knew where this was going. They were too lazy to train but admired strength. Hmm.... Just like her. Cough.
What a contradiction.
Anyway…
Wouldn't it be nice if her classmates were stronger?
If her classmates were powerful…
Future problems? Solved.
Any dangerous situations? Handled.
Her life would become easier. Her responsibilities as class rep? Drastically reduced.
Yes.
Yes.
With such a forceful conviction, Yuna's mind shifted gears.
She started to think furiously.
How could she increase her classmates' strength while doing the bare minimum of effort herself?
There was no such thing as an easy start. Yuna had always known that. The beginning was the hardest. But if she pushed through now, worked extra hard just this once…
Then later—later, she could rest blissfully.
This was just temporary suffering for long-term ease.
A worthy trade.
Soothing herself with such conviction, Yuna steeled her resolve.
After a long night of brainstorming, Yuna wasted no time the next morning.
She stepped onto the podium with an unshakable presence and delivered her decree:
"Heart Class, formal meeting. No one is allowed to return to their dorms or do any other activities."
A collective groan.
Some reluctant shifting.
But no one disobeyed.
The mischievous and often unruly Heart Class…
Obeyed.
Because it was Yuna speaking. And when Yuna spoke, it was best to just listen.
So when class ended, they stayed behind as instructed.
The classroom had three columns of desks, and Yuna quickly organized her classmates:
• Column One – Mages.
• Column Two – Warriors and Swordmasters.
• Column Three – Ability Users.
At a glance, their class was well-balanced in combat roles:
✔ 9 Mages
✔ 7 Warriors & Swordmasters
✔ 6 Ability Users
✔ 1 Overworked Class Representative (Yuna)
A decent mix.
But potential meant nothing without structure and training.
Yuna would make sure they reached their potential—if only so they could handle future problems for her.
Yuna handed out another paper questionnaire.
A few classmates groaned.
Again?
But they filled it out without complaint.
Because this time, they understood. Yuna was investing time into them. She was taking their growth seriously.
And if Yuna was serious, that meant they had to cooperate and not make things difficult for her.
The questionnaire asked for detailed information:
• Current abilities & affinities
• Combat strengths & weaknesses
• Current training routines (if any)
• Past battles or experiences
It wasn't just for formality—it was critical.
Because their training programs would depend on their actual strengths and weaknesses.
And for Yuna…
The more information she had, the easier it would be to set up an efficient system.
It was work now for ease later.
And so, with 22 students quietly filling out their forms, Yuna leaned back in her chair, eyes scanning the room.
Her grand plan had begun.
....
After Professor Veyne wrapped up his lecture, he did as he always did—opened the floor for a Q&A session.
Yuna did not waste time.
She stood up immediately, strode forward, and—
Slam!
A thick stack of neatly compiled papers landed on his desk.
The entire classroom went silent.
Professor Veyne, seated with an air of calm detachment, slowly looked up.
His face, as always, was hidden behind a pristine white mask. The mask covered his entire face, allowing only his cold grey eyes to peer through. His presence was frigid, exuding an aura that kept students at a respectful distance.
Even now, that distant aura remained.
It was as if he stood behind an invisible barrier—untouchable, indifferent, and uninterested in the world.
He didn't speak immediately.
Instead, he tilted his head slightly, his gaze flicking from the thick stack of papers to Yuna herself.
For a brief moment, his eyes lingered on the dark circles beneath her eyes.
Yuna had pulled an all-nighter the past few days compiling a chart for her classmates hence the dark circle.
Then, ever so faintly, the corners of his lips—hidden beneath the mask—quirked upward.
Yuna, expression blank, remained unfazed by his scrutiny.
"This is the current progress, strengths, and abilities of my classmates," she stated, voice flat.
A soft exhale, nearly a laugh, escaped Professor Veyne's lips.
It was so faint that if Yuna hadn't been especially sensitive to small sounds, she might have missed it.
Still, she pretended not to notice.
"Recommend on how to improve their strength" Yuna plainly stated her purpose.
"You beseech me, then?" he finally spoke, his tone light yet laced with an almost mocking amusement.
Yuna didn't even blink.
"No. I am informing you."
Professor Veyne's eyes gleamed.
For a long moment, he didn't move.
Then, with a lazy motion, he reached forward, picked up the painstakingly compiled stack, and began leafing through it.
The students in the room held their breaths.
Yuna, on the other hand, crossed her arms and waited.
Each student had a full-page profile detailing:
✔ Strengths & Weaknesses
✔ Current Abilities & Affinities
✔ Training Habits & Combat Style
✔ Personal Desires & Future Growth Potential
It was painfully detailed—organized to a degree that made it effortless to read.
Professor Veyne remained silent as he examined the work.
His fingers idly tapped against the desk. Then, he finally spoke again—not to Yuna, but to himself.
"To go this far... what an interesting student."
Yuna ignored the comment.
Without hesitation, Professor Veyne uncapped his pen and began writing recommendations and book suggestions beside each student's profile.
His movements were efficient—his handwriting, elegant and precise.
Once finished, he set the stack down and looked up again.
This time, his voice carried a hint of amusement.
"You are taking advantage of your teacher."
Yuna, completely unimpressed, met his gaze.
She was no longer distant, timid, or overly respectful as she had been in the beginning. Been constantly rough handled by the academy, she has a temper you know?
Instead, she simply snarked back:
"It is the duty of a teacher."
Professor Veyne's grey eyes narrowed slightly.
A chuckle—quiet, almost imperceptible—escaped from behind the mask.
He tapped a finger against the desk and asked, in the same cold tone:
"And what about their choice of 'Path'?"
Yuna immediately tensed.
She had no idea that he was teasing her again.
Through gritted teeth, she spat back:
"I'm working on it!"
And then—she gave him a stink eye before forcefully snatching the papers back.
Professor Veyne simply leaned back in his chair, watching her with thinly veiled amusement.
Turning on her heel, Yuna marched back to her classmates. Without missing a beat, she slammed their updated profiles onto their desks, one by one.
