But though his new body and new life comes with substantial perks, he will soon discover there are substantial risks as well. He’s far from the only strong talent in this new world, and few such people are happy to welcome more into their ranks. As planned, I spent most of the remaining months studying my techniques, particularly my elemental techniques Icewall and Spring of Life. Sealing Ice Arrow wasn't viable to refine, since I didn't possess it in written form. I could have tried to start putting it down myself, but I decided I didn't want such a thing to exist. It was easily my cruelest technique. I did study Soul Freezing Prison a little—Sealing Ice Arrow had made it a bit redundant, so I tentatively brainstormed on ways to modify it to accomplish something the former technique did not.
